The Kjaer Weis packaging is reusable and the blushes are cheaper if you buy just the pan. Save the outer packaging if you decide that you want to get another product from them in the future.

It's been so helpful for me to not purchase a new product until one has finished. I just hit pan on my Too Faced bronzer and now I'm trying a clean brand out! I only have one of each item except for blush, I have two cream blushes but really only use one 95% of the time but I feel like it's a waste to get rid of the 2nd. I may just use it as a lippie 😐 I also only buy mini size mascara because I feel like it keeps it more sanitary to finish a tube sooner than it takes to finish a full size!

@@paulinaowczarek5667 I've tried a few of the Benefit mascaras that come in travel size, but I know several brands have the mini/travel sizes. I'm currently using a "clean brand" called Ilia that has mini size. For the clean brands I find them online at Credo!

I have decluttered my makeup collection after watching your video with Burts Bees products, I was sad to see how many big name brands are not cruelty free , I have been replacing my skin care and makeup with all natural cruelty free products , I had no idea there were so many good alternatives to choose from.I am also replacing my cleaning and laundry products with all natural products . 2021 is my year to clean up my act and pay more attention to what I am using and putting into the environment. I really look forward to watching your videos , they have inspired me on my decluttering and minimalist journey.

Yes! Cruelty Free! Why don't influencer catch up with 21st century? There is absolutely no need for products to be tested on animals. Many dermatologists/scientists have spoken uo on the invalidity of such an inhumane practice.

I'm on my eco-minimalism/financial responsibility journey since late 2019 and one of the more important things I changed was my relationship with my face. I used to NEED Concealer - now I live without it. I don't own foundation, primer, eyeshadow and all this stuff any more - and I'm fine until I watch people of the _aesthetic_ internet realm. I have a red lipstick, one Blush, one highlighter and my mascara and an Eyeliner for events and I'm trying to not wear everything at once to not get used to an entirely done face - cause that makes it harder to accept my makeup free face. What I've found is that just wearing Eyeliner without mascara or just Blush, lipstick, no eye, can create interesting looks that accentuate the art about makeup - with such little product- less than harmonizing my face (which I also do) . I've come from shelves of makeup and perfume to one mug of makeup and I'm so much more happy with actually being able to use all the products I bought. I love watching decluttering videos though to stay inspired, cause seeing other people create waste (which you handle so responsibly, thank you!) makes me so anxious that I can barr myself from adding more.

Maybe it has to do with how you guys store your makeup. Avoid damp hot areas (like your bathroom). And best hide them away from sunlight (store them in a drawer or in a non-transparent bag).

I plucked my eyebrows to thin lines in my 20s, so feel yah.. now in my 30s, I used Jamaican black castor oil and they grew back. You have to be consistent and patient but it worked wonders. Good luck with the minimalism journey, slowly getting there myself. 👍🏾✌🏾

If you want your hair ties to shrink back to their normal size you can either blow-dry them for a few seconds or put them under warm water :)

The last things I tossed makeup wise are a few old bite lipsticks as they are natural so they will go bad. I have also been working like a fiend to use up all my samples and sample lipsticks. I am making progress already. I own a lot more than what you have but makeup makes me happy so I don't feel guilty. I find project pans have helped me so much to see how long something takes to finish and not just to endlessly buy. But also discipline myself not to just impulse buy something. If I get good use out of something I am much more happy to let it go if its old knowing that I didn't neglect it.

Same about the hourglass luminous bronze light bronzer. for something that has “light” in its name, it leans darker and redder on my skin. Maybe you can try using that MJ tantastic bronzer on your arms and legs in the summer for a bit of a tan look if you want.

Love how minimal it is. I find that most of my make up clutter comes from eye shadow pallets. :/ It seems like I have been kind of collecting them for years without really meaning to. It is not a crazy amount- maybe about 20. The thing is that all the ones I have I have some sort of a memory attached to so getting rid of even old ones is hard. I couldn't use them for a lifetime. Really loved how you only have 4 pans, I really wish I could have less someday.

oh good timing - I just was going through my stuff this morning. I do the 'sniff' test as well - even if I really love something, it's gone if it goes off. All my bases went off - probably due to the fact that I don't wear it that often and Covid...so I tossed my Glossier, my IT CC and Burberry CC. I also got rid of my giant Marc Jacobs bronzer (which killed me) but it no longer smelled like coconut - it smelled like plastic. :(

To me, make up is heavily related to my fantasy self. When I am in a drug store or a high end section in a store I see all the possibilities of how I can 'reinvent' myself, or how presenting myself differently through make up might add to my self-esteem. But once the (expensive) items find their way into my life, I barely use them, because I am a mascara and eye-liner only kind of girl, and they clutter up my drawer until I have to throw them away after a year or two. It is such a waste of money and energy. Added all together, I could have easily treated myself to a two week 5* spa vacation. I still find myself tempted when I am in a store, but find it easier to resist, since all the tester have been removed due to Covid and I do not want to buy the cat in the sack.

Many years ago, my dermalogist recommended keeping all creamy/cream based products in a small tray in the fridge. (Except for mascara and brow pencils). Any body creams, nail polishes, etc will remain fresh and bacteria free. Also, enjoyed seeing Cruelty Free products, such as Marc Jacobs, Hourglass, Becca, Burt's Bee amongst others. Mac, Chanel, C. TIBURY, NARS, unfortunately sell their products in Mainland China which conduct unnecessary testing on animals. I write this so that your viewers are also aware. Always enjoy your chanel. Thank you.

Same, I have never even owned any foundation or concealer, I think I only bought one single bb cream when they first came out and hated it. All I use now is moisturizer, kajal, and occasionally mascara and one eyeshadow.
