Vent....take it out.....hose it off in the driveway with Dawn.....Dawn has a degreaser ...washing by hand with scrubber in the bath again with Dawn... The one close up shows the clips so it can be removed.

Maybe you could get hang holders for the broom, mop, etc, getting stuff off the floor makes it look neater and easier to clean the floor without moving things. Great job, you girls did a lot!!

Great job, ladies and great motivation! Yes, remove the vent by the clips on the side. It needs to be cleaned inside, and more than likely, the filter needs to be changed. Also, pull out freezer, washer, and dryer to clean behind them. A vacuum would work good to get the dust!!

Pretty much! I have a whole house to declutter. The laundry room was one we could complete in a day. The rest of the house will take much longer. My mom passed away just over a year ago and I moved in to take care of my dad. So I have to consider my other 4 siblings and all the grandkids as I declutter and go through her belongings as to who would want what of her things. But I will definitely making videos of the process. It will just be a long process. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

I'm sorry for your losses. It's hard. And it's hard to part from there belongings. At least for me but at the same time we can't keep everything it's just to much. So it's definitely a slow process but a process I need to do . Grief is different for everyone so make sure you do it when your ready. And you will know when that time comes. You will feel at peace with it

For a grille like that air vent, I would remove it and take it outside and spray oven cleaner on it. That will loosen the sticky bits so you can scrub them off with the scrub brush. Just be sure to rinse it thoroughly to prevent a fire hazard.

They come in handy when we loose power during hurricane season for days at a time and my dad uses them when he grills his butter and onion fish. I will still end up probably getting rid of a few more once he goes through the ones he wants

We did this same thing at my grandmas house. One thing make it go faster and less stuff spread out everywhere was to put everything in a box like right as you remove from the cupboard. Then when you ready you can donate or toss the whole box after deciding what few things you want.

Its been a year since my mom passed, lord knows i would give anything to have her back but that's not how life works. So we are starting to declutter and transition there home into a area that works well for my dad and us now that we are living with him to take care of him. Go to the dollar tree get the things that are like the ...Damp Rid for moisture they are usually in the section of clothesline clothes hangers ect. Put one any were moisture is bad. I have 1 in my bathroom closet and under all my sinks .I have to change about every 3 months.

Looks amazing!!❤❤❤The filter probably needs to be changed if there is that much dust build up on the outside grate… if the furnace is run without getting a new filter then the furnace motor can burn out and you will probably have to replace the furnace… a lot more expensive than changing a filter every 60 days❤❤❤❤

I stay on top of changing the filter. Definitely cheaper to change them out than expensive repairs

Hint...use up the cleaning stuff . then replace with Dawn, vinigar, Murphy oil for furniture. Works great and saves money

Mom and Dad lived their for almost 60 years and threw nothing away. We actually found electric bills dating back to the 50's. So you will be fine just a real tough time to go through.)

Ive always used a broom on the vent then used dawn dish soap a scrub brush on the vent outside with the water hose. And please check your filter yall are breathing all that dust. Not judging at all just fyi. Yall are getting after it!! Way to go girls!!

I am living there now. I had to move in to take care of my dad who is limited in what he can do physically. My mom passed away a year ago. I am now at a point we're we are starting to declutter my dad's home and going through my mom's things weeding out what we wanna keep and what my siblings want to keep etc. It's gonna be a long slow process but it has begun and I wanna record it for memories and for my siblings who live so far away so they can watch the process and somewhat feel like a part of it! As for myself. I like a very tidy house but it will be a very long time before it is to my level of decluttered. But it's still my dad's house and a memory of my mother and I have to keep everyone in mind and not do to much at once. Everyone grieves in there own way and I wanna be respectful and mindful of my family members.

Yes lord I would give anything to have her back. She passed away a year ago. I'm so greatful I was in a position to move right in to help make his life easier and so he wouldn't be alone. My mom was his caregiver and now I am and I'm happy to do so.

They were paper towels mainly because I didn't want to mess up my everyday cleaning cloths. I wanted to wipe it up and throw it away.
