The fishbowl has spoken made be cackle out loud! 😂😂😂😂 I was so happy that you put the clothing to be donated in the car. The landing looks fantastic!!! Really enjoying your vlogmas decluttering roulette ❤❤❤❤❤

I love this series! Decluttering feels so overwhelming and this inspires me to break it down into smaller more manageable projects. Good job! Also what a pretty cat! My daughter has talked us into getting one next year lol 😂

I think this is great to do bite size pieces of decluttering. I do a little bit in the morning before i log into work so i know i have a deadline and try to do a little bit each week.

I feel inspired to make a fish bowl of things to clean up! Playing games with house chores always helps me. Thanks!!

It really makes it so much more fun. I’m realizing the decision making of what to declutter next was really holding me back.

Does Blake like the clear landing? My partner seemed able to ignore the piles of stuff (mostly his...) but when I did do a bit of 'rationalisation', he always noticed and said he appreciated the tidier look.
@Jamie_Chaotic4 күн бұрын
He does like it cleaned up, just not enough to want to clean it himself 😂

Maybe if laundry naturally collects on the landing, then a laundry hamper could live there to corral it.
@Jamie_Chaotic4 күн бұрын
It doesn’t usually, that was just a failed attempt at getting a load of laundry together from my kids’ room one day 😂

ROFLMAO Love your "ok that was dramatic" he knows my husband cuz yup I have seen that look on my husbands face too when I ask him to grab something in front of the camera hahahaha. I dont have a suggestion for a good one but I do know that when I replaced my old roombas a couple years ago with new roombas I did not like the newer ones. They dont work as well. Not mine are not the "super expensive" ones but not as happy with them anymore. So on the hunt also for new ones. Thanks for sharing! see you tomorrow!

The fishbowl has spoken could not be truer words lol My hubby & I both resell but getting my hubby to organize put his items in donate move it out the living room etc falls mostly on my shoulders. My most effective way is doing show & tell with him lol Holding up 1 item at a time & making him decide what is being done. I think he would be a hoarder if I didn't live here lol

Well of course, that’s how I see it too. In this instance he was the one who brought the shop vac upstairs to vacuum the kids’ ceiling, which I appreciate, but he never took it back down. 🤷🏻♀️

What about tall laundry hampers for the bedrooms instead of the cloth hampers? I’ll admit if I couldn’t just drop my cloths in without having to remove a lid or open up a cloth bag I’d never use the hamper :) it might not be beautiful, but if it’s better than a pile of clothes on the floor it might be worth it. Sometimes I have to work with what I will do rather than what I wish I would do.
@Jamie_Chaotic5 күн бұрын
We’ve had something like that in the past and he still didn’t use it. But I’m thinking of having him pick out what he’ll commit to using to put the responsibility on himself, rather than have his wife keep buying different laundry hamper solutions and trying to make him adapt to it. I’m also thinking maybe he needs it in the bathroom so he puts it in there when he showers. But I can just keep guessing and guessing what will work for him, I’d rather he figures it out himself 😂

Sometimes my husband helps willingly and sometimes he has that “look” & says “grr”. That landing looked so bad and yet it really took very little time to declutter it. I have a real Roomba that works very well after 6 yrs. I just need to remember to turn it on.
@Jamie_Chaotic7 күн бұрын
I think that’s why it was so hard for me to wait to clean it until I drew the ticket.. it looked like a disaster but I could tell it would be so quick to fix it!
@Jamie_Chaotic7 күн бұрын
Oh and we had a real Roomba too and it was pretty good… until it ran over cat poop. We had an elderly cat who was sick and dying who had an accident on the floor and the Roomba found it before we did. There was no way I was cleaning it so the whole thing went straight in the trash. 😭

I love the fishbowl method, but it results in videos that are too short 🙂.
@Jamie_Chaotic7 күн бұрын
I’ll go back to less frequent, longer videos after Vlogmas is over. The point is to post a video everyday and obviously if they’re so frequent I can’t make them as long.

you're not done until the donations are at the donation store. but good job. you would think we would learn: "it only takes 15 minutes." but we don't :(
@Jamie_Chaotic7 күн бұрын
Up until taking this break from work so I can do the decluttering, I felt like I didn’t even have 15 minutes to spare. I’ve been so busy, this is the result.
