Talibans are nothing but the local people from Aghanistan who decided to resist US invasion to their homeland. The groups who were fighting with USSR joined with them for their one cause to expell US forces from their homeland. US wants to keep a hold in the region to challenge China but Afghanis are never ready to compromise on their national interets on the terms of US adminstration. So they want peace on their terms and not on US Terms.
