In Malayalam cinema, many actors that started their career in comedy later transitioned to serious character roles, to the extent of winning prestigious awards for their performance. Salim Kumar, who was mostly known for his slapstick comedy films and unique comedic style, won a national award for playing a character much older than his real age. Mammukoya and Indrans are other examples of comedians who proved their versatility in performances where they were almost unrecognisable. The vice versa has also happened, i.e., actors who were known for serious roles, even negative roles, transitioning into comedy. There are many examples in Bollywood, including Prem Chopra, Shakti Kapoor, and the legendary Kadar Khan. An accomplished actor will seamlessly fit into any role he's asked to play.

@RandomMukhate Bhau, really happy that you managed to get the benchmark of comedy in Hindi cinema on the couch. But, sorry, I felt some energy amiss here. Either you were entertained throughout and couldn't play into the energy OR you were a bit intimidated to have someone who, probably, you have laughed with and idolised growing up OR the edit omitted your shots of you vibing with him. I don't know the reason, but, for an episode about comedy with one of the most respected comedians of India just didn't seem to have that energy. I do know that there are other factors too like stardom and all but I'd rather not say anything about it because I don't know those aspects of Johnny bhai and I'd rather not spread the wrong word. A genuine feedback from a genuine fan of yours, Yashraj. Hoping to see you rock interviews with guests, like Conan O'Brien does, in the coming episodes. All the best, man. Keep the good stuff coming.
