The decolonization movement spanned the world from the mid 20th century to its conclusion. Today, we look at it via a Marxist view of the world.

I appreciate scholars who are consistent. Treating State Capitalism as if it's a viable alternative to Western Capitalism is a false choice. and a cop-out.

I just was introduced to Lenin’s speech at international conference in Moscow in 1920. Lenin uses data that was provided by John Maynard Keynes in his book “The economic consequences of the peace”. Then Lenin wrote his famous work on imperialism, he also used data that was presented by another bourgeois economist, John Hobson. Information about actual political economy stage of capitalism is not something hidden and clandestine. The reports are pretty accurate and publicly available. The matter is in materialistic marxist approach to analysis, and building strategy on such.

Can he decolonize in Hindi or any other language that he speaks other than english. That itself, keeps the colonization perfectly in place. Be it Marxist or Capitalist, the world view is defined also by the languages we are able to speak.

Does Vijay provide any critique of China's billionaire class and what this means for China's labor class?

Erik Prince hired neo-colonialist and international war criminal Erik Prince to provide mercenary muscle for Chinese cobalt mining companies in DRC (Congo). Erik Prince has several assignments with Belt and Road projects around the world. The multipolarists never seem to mention this.

I’ve listened to 13 minutes of this, where’s working class. -- Marx fought to build a party of the international working class. “Academic Marxists” who aren’t doing that are just academic. As Lenin told us in 1917: What is now happening to Marx’s theory has, in the course of history, happened repeatedly to the theories of revolutionary thinkers and leaders of oppressed classes fighting for emancipation. During the lifetime of great revolutionaries, the oppressing classes constantly hounded them, received their theories with the most savage malice, the most furious hatred and the most unscrupulous campaigns of lies and slander. After their death, attempts are made to convert them into harmless icons, to canonize them, so to say, and to hallow their names to a certain extent for the “consolation” of the oppressed classes and with the object of duping the latter, while at the same time robbing the revolutionary theory of its substance, blunting its revolutionary edge and vulgarizing it. Today, the bourgeoisie and the opportunists within the labor movement concur in this doctoring of Marxism. They omit, obscure, or distort the revolutionary side of this theory, its revolutionary soul. They push to the foreground and extol what is or seems acceptable to the bourgeoisie. All the social-chauvinists are now “Marxists” (don’t laugh!). And more and more frequently German bourgeois scholars, only yesterday specialists in the annihilation of Marxism, are speaking of the “national-German” Marx, who, they claim, educated the labor unions which are so splendidly organized for the purpose of waging a predatory war! [State and Revolution, Lenin (1917)]

The Bolshevik tendency emerged out of the struggle led politically by Lenin (and, in the sphere of philosophy, by Plekhanov) against revisionist and opportunist tendencies within the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party. Lenin (basing himself on the position developed earlier by Kautsky, the principal theoretician of the SPD) insisted that socialist consciousness did not develop spontaneously within the working class, but had to be brought into the workers’ movement. In his seminal work, What Is To Be Done? Lenin cited the following critical passage from the program of the Austrian Social-Democratic Party: ...Modern socialist consciousness can only arise on the basis of profound scientific knowledge. Indeed, modern economic science is as much a condition for socialist production as, say, modern technology, and the proletariat can create neither the one nor the other, no matter how much it may desire to do so; both arise out of the modern social process. The vehicle of science is not the proletariat, but the bourgeois intelligentsia: it was in the minds of individual members of this stratum that modern socialism originated, and it was they who communicated it to the more intellectually developed proletarians who, in their turn, introduce it into the proletarian class struggle where conditions allow this to be done. Thus, socialist consciousness is something introduced into the proletarian class struggle from without, and not something that arose within it spontaneously.[2]

The working class is the only anti-imperialist class, in its class interests and the necessity of achieving international solidarity to stop its division and exploitation by nationality. Thus since the subject of the conversation is anti-imperialism, and the growth of an anti-colonial, and thus anti-imperialist mood across the Global South and the need for Marxists to reinforce this tendency by reviving the non-Euro-American anti-colonial tradition of Marxist writing, the working class is present implicitly and by default.

In 2021 Xi gave a speech at the Central Economic Work Conference attacking welfarism and pledging China would not opt for a model that would “uplift a group of lazy people who gain without working,” with explicit derogatory references to South American “populism.” This type of language might as well be coming from a right-wing fundamentalist in the US.
