by far one of the best songs Mike has ever written and performed 🗣️ the combination of Pete's surgical organ and Mike's voice/guitar are sublime!! my favorite track from "Pisces etc."

What a voice,RIP, Papa Nez!

I'm kind of amazed that Eddie Hoh's track has never been sampled for a hip-hop track. The rimshots are tailor-made for it. For all their disagreements, it's pretty remarkable how simpatico Nez and Peter could be when they worked together. The 12-string and organ sound marvelous.

Thank you so much for all of your efforts!!! I find it fascinating how well Peter and Nez complimented each other in the studio and on tape, given the fact that they really didn't care for one another

Can’t help but think of the sequence in the episode “Monkees In Paris” every time I hear this one. Such a dreamy tune with that organ sound that’s oh so 60’s. Wish Mike did more tunes like this using this vocal tone of his. This is yet another excellent breakdown Septyl where we really get to hear the magic in the instrumentation. Superb!!

Thank you for doing this. This happens to be my favorite Nesmith song complemented by the beautiful organ by Peter Tork!

Quite possibly my favorite Monkees song, along with Early Morning Blues And Green’s and Come On In. This song evokes so many emotions. Very innovative and haunting. Just beautiful. Makes me miss the ones we’ve lost. So much talent. Thank you .

Very cool listen to this deconstruction of the Nesmith tune.

Thank you so much. Eddie Hoi sure played a lot of the Monkees songs. I wish he was still with us. He was a huge influence on me, and had really cemented my path at being a musician. I'm forever grateful to him and his talent. Of course along with the wreaking crew and the monkees themselves. Again, thanks for seperating the instruments so we can hear the magic without any interference.

Thanks for doing this one. If I recall correctly, it's one of Mike's pre-Monkee songs. Chip playing two instruments means some overdubbing was involved. Would you consider doing the same thing with the Dolenz Jones Boyce and Hart album?
@septyliteАй бұрын
@@orangehornet57 I wasn’t necessarily planning on it but it’s not something I would refuse! I must admit, however, I’m not very familiar with the album.

This is as deep a cut as a deep cut can get. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but "DCOM" never appeared on any Monkees compilation. It's up there with "As We Go Along" "While I Cry," and "Midnight" (yes, THAT "Midnight") in terms of most atmospheric Monkees tunes.
@cherylhulting1301Ай бұрын
It's actually on "Pisces Aquarius Capricorn and Jones, Ltd," which includes a number of tracks from Nez.
