Wow what a deconstruction! Excellent work as always Septyl. The contrast between the guitar section, which upon hearing this is much more folky than I realized, and the haunting harpsichord and piano, followed by the beautiful violin. Just an excellent combination of parts to make an extraordinary track. I’ve often thought of this one as a cousin to “We Were Made For Each Other” and it’s unfortunate that it was just a B-side when it was worthy of A-side in my opinion. It was however a big hit for them in Japan I believe and they played it when they did a show there in ‘68. A classic Davy ballad in my book.

This was one of Davy's very best vocals. It's perfectly in his wheelhouse. By 1968, he was rarely singing material that was out of his range or made him reach uncomfortably for notes. I'm really looking forward to the isolated vocals on "A Man Without A Dream" and "Someday Man." I'd up the deconstruction grade to an A- myself. Great job on this one - tons of moving parts!

That Harpsicord part by itself is a bit haunting. Brilliant job as always- Thank you for doing this!
