Another fantastic episode. Reform isn't nearly enough. We need a total transformation in order to dismantle #neocolonialism in the #GlobalSouth by the #GlobalNorth.

@@neverfallnewsmedia You apparently did not read my comment properly.. Legalized, weed can be taxed till the cows. Come home and then some, and it's not paying for anything. The United States federal government is the creator and the issuer of the currency, the US Dollar the money. Federal taxes are not collected to Fund the federal government. It doesn't work that way. Federal taxes are collected to control aggregate demand for goods and services. Or said another way to control inflation. Learn m, m, t, please.

@@neverfallnewsmedia it actually wouldn't.. thats why educating ourselves on macroeconomics (ie where 'money' comes from and how it works) is so important... we have the money right now to 'pay for everything and then some'... the issue is, do we have the REAL resources?... steel, lithium, cobalt, labor, etc... money is our least scarce resource, as the federal govt creates it

Shouldn't we push for some kind of balanced trade, as an MMT policy between nations? I think that would help everyone and stop nations from dominating each other.

I'm interested in hearing Prof. Kaboub talk about Africa. You don't have to say negative things about Biden. He doesn't think Egypt is Mexico and this presentation should concentrate on Africa without your opinions on US politics. I would like to see Mr Kaboub become more mainstream and not hook himself to anti-US opinionators. His theories on Africa should be better known with the liberal left because he explains the mechanics well.
@RealProgressivesАй бұрын
Why should he ignore the elephant in the room? The US plays a huge role in Western imperialism and its plundering of resources and financial colonialism in the Global South. Sure, those countries in the Global South face their own problems internally, but to deny the role that the US plays in those countries being in the current situations they are in is to miss the plot entirely.

@@RealProgressives I meant the direct criticism of Biden being senile that was in the intro, not the role of the US in Africa. The comments about Biden were off-topic and unnecessary and make Mr Kaboub unappealing to US Democrats when his thoughts should be more widespread on the left.

@@jimboy419 Set the record straight. Dr. kaboub is unappealing to YOU. The nerve of this Afrikan criticizing the Great White Father.
