Is it a big issue to use non stretch lace on spandex?

Hi Cumin, sorry I did not see your comment earlier. Great question! No, it is not a big deal to use a non-stretch lace on stretch fabric IF you allow tiny gaps in-between the pieces of lace so the lycra can still stretch between all the appliqués. Whenever your dress design allows, it is also a good practice to place the non-stretch lace appliqués on an angle instead of a straight across. This also allows the lycra to stretch normally. @@sewlikeapro1 Thank you so much for your reply! In fact i already started to figure out what you just explained on leaving tiny gaps and it's working! Also do you have any tips and tricks on hand sewing faster and do safier knots? Cause it's taking me so long😅

@@cumintp4060 Unfortunately, I don't have a video for that and I cannot upload a photo here. However, I suggest gluing the lace on as I demonstrate in this video, or machine sewing the lace on. If I had hand sewn on all the lace I put n all the dance and skate costumes I made over the decades, I would have gone crazy and bankrupt. 🤪
