I'm sure you've heard it before and i'm also sure you really love your hamster, but a hamster the size of Wendy REALLY needs a tank at least 20 gallons (40 gallon breeder would be ideal). Just remember that hamsters are nocturnal so even if Wendy doesn't seem like she is using the whole tank during the day, she is most likely using every square inch at night. Hamsters, and actually any animal that needs to be kept in a cage/tank, get very stressed from being in small ones (like the 10 gallon you have). If you aren't willing to upgrade her tank then i recommend you get a playpen for her to play in for at least 30min-1hour per day to help enrich her life. Enrichment is extremely important for health and longevity of life of all pets, especially ones that are kept in less than ideal housing. I hope this helps you a bit, and just so you know this information is credible i am a vet med student that specializes with small animals. There are a ton of great articles and especially videos on KZbin made by small animal enthusiasts that i suggest you look into, they are very informative and will help you give Wendy the best life possible :)

When I lost my hamster I was a mess Gus Gus was my world. Gus picked me to he came right to my finger when I was by the glass. I buried him in my grandparents garden when he died. I had him for years. I've got 3 guinea pigs now Bella Boo Hazel May and Honey Bee they are my babies I still miss him. I'm very sorry about your baby. I love how even though you miss Colby you got Wendy and she made you feel better that makes me feel better because I have a baby half brother who turned 1 recently and I wasn’t able to be there for his birthday because my step mom and dad make it so hard to see him I didn’t even get to see him when he was born. But now my mom is pregnant with a baby boy and it just reminds me of my half brother I wasn’t there for any of his firsts so it’s just really hard for me. My step dad and mom keep saying that with this baby it will heal everything I missed with my half brother. I never really believed them. I thought it would make it worse and make me be even more sad. But seeing you in a similar situation with you hamster and how it made you feel better to get Wendy is making me feel better watching it in this vlog❤️

Having a tank for a hamster is actually great! I've had many hamsters and having them in a tank was the safest. Hamster cages that you find at petsmart that are made of metal arent as good because they can escape. Do what you think is right for your hamsters. When you get your hamsters from a pet store, they're already in a glass tank with their friends, so its easier for them to transition if they're in a similar environment. Love you gab 💖

Two 3 wick Bath & Body works candle tips! I'm obsessed with their candles and they will last longer if after the first use you trim about 1/3 of the wick off and if you ever notice them looking long you can trim as you continue to use them, you can also store them in the freezer and they last longer!!
