Here’s a tip for you if you find a theme you like now and get inspiration now while people are uploading their decorate with me next year when the Christmas stuff hits the isles in the fall you can slowly start purchasing things you have more time and it’s not as stressful if you try to get everything at once or last minute trying to make your money stretch on home decor/ ornaments and gifts (not sure if it’s helpful but I’m an over thinker and I change my theme EVERY year and it works for me)

For future light situations look into fairy lights, they have remotes, battery powered, and different light features that way you aren’t focus on plugs or even have to be bothered by plugging it in everywhere/day... you can find them in amazon at affordable prices

Saw a couple comments about using a throw blanket as a tree skirt. Great idea! I actually went a frugal step further and found a beautiful round tablecloth at the thrift store and cut a slit into the center of it and used that as a tree skirt. You'd never know from the looks of it.

I have a 6 ft flocked tree with just ornaments from every place we have been since our honeymoon! We have been married for 34 years.! I put up 4 trees in total each with a different theme. You can make pointsettias very easily with paper maps from places you have been. Looks beautiful.

Those battery operated LED candles would work outside in the lanterns. They are also remotely operated. They go on sale for really cheap in stores like Michaels and Walmart.
