I have a really similar cabinet to you that my parents helped me refurbish. It was my great aunts from the 30s and although, like yours, it was a little rough to start with it is such a beautiful piece of furniture. I think it was originally a pantry as it has like a little mesh bread section etc, but we use it to store our crockery. We sanded ours right back so just a bit of the old paint showed through and it looks gorgeous and so 'shabby chic'!

Be careful hun. Old pieces are sometimes painted in lead paint. You should test it first to see if is lead paint. At the very least you could wear a mask to protect yourself from breathing in the dust. Just a suggestion. You did a great job on the revamp.

Love the piece but did you test it to see if that’s lead paint? Unless it was stored outdoors it should not be peeling like that unless it was lead paint. Just mentioning it incase you didn’t know. Love all of the Reno videos. 😁
