I woke and went through my mourning routine and thought to myself, Black Friday was ruined. I went to several malls feeling good and like some sort of skateboarding messiah because I drilled my own holes in my park deck to make it a longboard. Plus my Coach dubble C was satchel with a Pendleton harness. Starting off was fine. I took the buss to downtown, walked through the Freemont street experience and skated to the Las Vegas Bonneville Transfer Station and took a dubble decker buss to the Bellagio shopping center and looked at all the luxury fashion shops. I was happy and didn't have any problems with security about my skateboard. I wrapped plastic bags around the wheels & trucks so that they wouldn't get dirt on anything, it's a good idea. After looking around I skated around the commercial property to the other side of the hotel & casino to the main entrance where inside is a holiday display that's all made up every year and this year's theme was critique literature. Last years was Polar Express. What caught my eye and shocked me was that the first thing I read was that the Christmas story Twas a night before Christmas was written by Clememt Clark More! Every year for as long as I can remember at Macy's Theater Of Lights in Sacramento California evey night after Thanksgiving they start an outdoor theater in OldTown and explain that Mark Twain also known as Samuel Clemens wrote that story for a newspaper and included other history about the city. So weird! But I was awesome at the Bellagio and there was no traffic down the hill. I got to carve the whole five lanes free! Then to the Cosmopolitan, Aria, Waldorf and no problem. There's a 2 mile stretch on the Las Vegas strip to Town Square where there's more shopping and Zumies and Hot topic. I found a faux fur coat of a variety of goat, sheep, and rabbit like angel fur. After I was tired and got back on the Duce,(dubble decker buss). It stopped at Fshion Show mall and I was going to skip it but there was a seven minute delay so I got off and walked through. It was so busy and there was bossy people inside. Not very much the highlight of my day but it was ok and waiting for the next buss was nice and gave me time to read some scripture. Back to the downtown transfer station and on my way to the area of the city that's popular for being the prettiest in the valley things went sour. I got off the buss in Downtown Summerlin. Skated to the mall and was stopped in front of everyone while I was skating through traffic at a crosswalk and was told there's no skateboards allowed on the property. I had to stop and tell this security lady I didn't work there and put plastic bags over my wheels next to the side of the road and put my fur coat on the ground! There was also a guard dog snooping around! But I walked on with the shoppers and on to Zumies and Spencer's and Hot topic to the end and then skated all downhill to the next shopping mall it's called Travilli Village. There wasn't anything going on there pretty empty but nice and I had to myself a quiet reading atmosphere. The next shopping mall was downhill from there so I skated some of the way then jumped on a buss to the mall. The LV Primum Outlet mall was very busy but pretty cool. Lots of lines going out the doors and police signaling traffic. Then I went home to my side of Las Vegas Blvd. Why I don't know but shopping ok.
