I love this technique for doing candles I have stamped on candles before Some people use the waxed paper and some don't. The result seems to be the same.

you dont have to coat it the wax come through the napkin . it would be pointless

Absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for a great tutorial. Watched with great amusement from Qatar. Do you stick the napkin to the candle with anything to hold it in place. Also which side of the greaseproof paper should be touching the napkin when its on the candle ?

To hold napkin in place you could add little beat of water in one place but not too much. It doesn't matter what side of paper you use they both work fine.

I ordered an embossing dryer but until it arrives, I am using a hairdryer. I have a small attachment to the front to only direct the heat into a smaller area at a time. With or without the attachment I only manage to overheat the candle sweating the napkin. I separated the napkin layer, then wrapped the clear wax paper around the napkin than with the hairdryer heat both layers I will keep trying.
