Dedication of Africatown Heritage House in Mobile

The Africatown Heritage House in Mobile was dedicated on Friday, July 7, 2023. The museum features “Clotilda: The Exhibition” that tells the story of the last transatlantic slave voyage from Africa to the U.S. in 1860, as well as the stories from some of the 110 survivors. It also features recovered pieces of true slave ship found in 2019.
