Arguably one of the first wave punk bands - doesn't matter if they weren't actually "great" - they were school kids playing punk in 1977! What were you doing then? +Jacob Nagy Yes truly a horrible time in our history. I was personally affected - we were down Loftus Road for a friendly between my beloved QPR and Leeds United, I had chaperoned my younger brother Nigel along with 24 of his classmates, who all suffered from Down's Syndrome, as it was his school's Special Day Out as they called it. As we sat down we were attacked by Leeds supporters, some of whom were wearing ARA badges and shouting "YOURE ALL WRONG, KILL THE MONG". Many of the boys fought back but they hospitalized four of the more helpless lads including my dear Nigel, who's leg was broken with a wooden plank they ripped from a bench, he is since confined to a wheelchair as a result of their Anti-Handicap hate!

+Sandy Dufort Dear Sandy - such an appalling story! My heart goes out to you. There was a similar spate of assaults on special needs children in Huddersfield. The lowlife ARA thugs would drive about in a transit van and snatch any handicapped they could find, then shave their heads and tatoo machine the word "MONG" on their foreheads before releasing them! In the paper it said they nabbed 12 in one weekend!! I remember when they got the Hodges lad around 1979? (who lived in my street), I saw him an month ago and he had the tattoo removed but you can still read the word because of the scars, so tragic. But he had a cheerful smile on his face and what seems like a proper job at Sainsburys

+Rose Boyle my eldest brother Danny (Down's and Tourette's) was one of the special needs victimised by the ARA bastards in Huddersfield. They shaved his head but fortunately were caught by police before the tattoing. Danny had gone missing for several hours and we organized a search party to find him as he couldnt survive long on his own. It was a godsend that we came upon their ford transit in a blind alley off Rifle Fields - they had him bound to the seat about to set upon him with the tatoo gun! He was shouting and struggling as we cut him loose. The ARA did a runner and the police didnt bother to give chase!! which infuriates me to this day. It really was a dark time for handicapped youth. Danny is with me now as i type, and despite the horrors he endured wishes to say to any ARA members reading this: "it's ok I know you didnt mean it so we can be friends now, smiles". If only they had a heart as big as his.
