Let's say if you kill someone, and later on you became a believer of God and you asked him to forgive you; God is merciful he will forgive you. Now, the dead guy cannot speak to say I forgive you; so how can God who is all-merciful forgive you if you truly regret from your heart that what you did was wrong? I heard some Muslims saying that you must go to his parents and ask for their forgiveness; but this doesn't sound right, because they are not the ones who are dead and missed out from life and joy. Even if the wife or parents forgive him , they can only forgive him for taking her husband's life and now she and his kids are alone. The dead is still dead and the deed is done deal and there's nothing they can do to bring him back. *So where is the victim's JUSTICE that his blood is crying out from the ground?* If you will require Blood for Blood. If God is just then he must punish you. But what if you stand in front of a merciful loving God with a true broken heart and realized that what you did was wrong, but no one wants to forgive you, and because of God being just he must punish you even though he wants to forgive you because his all loving and merciful beyond imagination, and he sees your true broken heart? What then? How can God be all merciful, just and fair to all at the same time? This is where Jesus sacrifice makes sense. Jesus Christ was an empty cup, without sin, so he can take upon himself all the sin of the world. Through Jesus Christ sacrifice, God shows to be perfection without a speck of evil, merciful, loving and just to all. He stood right in the middle between you and the Judgment of God and he took your punishment instead of you. Now that is a almighty God worthy of worshipping that is loving, merciful and just at the same time.
