just saw the comments below. I just want to let you know that there's a bow character who can farm trees, Childe. You need to hit the tree with normal bow attacks first before hitting them again in melee mode. Kinda tedious, but at least it's possible XD

Actually, Childe CAN get wood. You just need to shoot the trees first, then quickly swap to melee and it works :) You only need to stay close to it while changing.

You'll be able to farm trees with Childe, but it's EXTREMELY tedious. Plunge attack the tree in range mode, immediately switch to melee and cut the tree. Repeat with EVERY tree. Idk HOW it works, but it does. Hopefully it won't be patched.

I'd say the easiest thing to farm is cloud grass (or whatever it's called), for Raiden. There are 90+ of them, they're only on Seirai in a rather small area and fairly easy to spot, compared to sakura or onikabuto Edit: I mean ammakumo fruit, it's called cloud grass fruit in my language haha

Fun fact, if Ayaka has just dashed to a tree, she can't harvest wood either. Haven't tested other infused weapons because I don't feel like wasting an ult, but I think it's the same deal for any ranged/elemental attack.

Are there really people complaining about using a non-bow character to avoid wasting 5 hours trying to glitch your way trough a climbing/jumping puzzle ? I know it's a "weapon-only" kind of run and that it's important to do as musch as possible following that rule, but in the grand scheme of things isn't bosses/abysses clearing what truly matters ? Is it really the end of the world that sometimes, very rarely, one doesn't use one of the intended character to solve a jump or whatever ?

12:59 Trees are immune to elemental damage and bows. So you can't farm trees with bows or catalysts (and i tried Sea-dyed foam explosions that supposedly deal physical dmg... that was useless too).

It's not immune to elemental dmg or phys dmg. It takes into account the contact. Some attacks break poise and those can get wood.

About the teapot dilemma: honestly, as there is literally no option for any bow character right now to farm any trees (nor buying wood or anything), i wouldn't mind if you farm those with traveller. the teapot isn't a necessity, but IRL there woudn't be anyone to chop a tree with a polearm either. I am sure, if there was a way to shoot the tree 100 times to get a single plank, you'd do it - but there isn't. It is your decision and maybe some will disagree, but as it is additional resin and content, i really wouldn't mind. To appease the merciless voices here, you could consider getting a punishment for using a sword, like doing a random boss solo every 100 wood or sth.

Childe exists, you know. Hit the tree with a bow normal attack or two (til you see the tree shakes), then use his skill (melee mode) to hit the tree again

Childe might actually work for farming since you can only farm 3 pieces of wood from each farmable tree. I am not sure, but your Xiangling might have farmed all 3 pieces causing tree to be in cool down. Try on another tree please

I know lots of comments have said this already, but you can farm wood with Childe! Plunge attack the tree then switch to melee stance and you can get it :) problem is, you'll have to wait for his rerun lol but I'd rather you do this and ignore the teapot for the time being, since it's optional content.

for the pearl galley teleporting fisherman. starting from the liyue alchemy table teleport waypoint. You run towards the docks on the left side and jump off the stone part without a railing and there's a small dock with a fisherman in a hat. It's lowered below the stone floor in the open area though

I have a c1 venti who I used to farm trees with. I think you need to use a charged shot, but it has to be before the element pops up. I could be wrong and it takes c1 venti, but it's an idea

I gave it a few tries and I have not found a way to farm wood with bow characters. Every guide will tell you that bows and catalysts are out of luck with it. But If it's absolutely out of reach of bow users I'd say it'd be ok to use MC for that rather than to give up on teapot completely. Just my opinion, though.

actually favonius warbow is better because of the lower base attack and higher energy recharge, regardless of the passive. fading twilight is better for sara because of the higher base attack (which i think is what she scales off of, similar to bennett)

I saw in comments people saying that Child CAN farm wood and i was like "what's the heck? It can't possibly be true, right?" and so i logged in on my friend's account 'cuz she has Child, and i went to nearest tree and i tried to plunge and do some normal attacks at first and then i just plunged near the tree, as close as possible, and changed to his melee stance right away, and Oh My God he really chopped some wood! It works! And i thought people in comments were trolling. The process is tedious, but it works, and that's all that matters. If it's a bug i hope Hoyo won't fix it.

You can use recurve bow to restore HP if you have it and don't have diona yet It's okay for yelan too since it has an HP stat

On sara you should focus on her skill because her attack buff % comes from her skill. Catalyst users also can't farm wood, for me you should be able to use traveller or join someone's world and they would farm wood for you so you don't have to use non bow characters
