Mopani 🐛 love them. They feed exclusively on tree leaves so nothing to worry about. An equivalent of prowns.

Hello Dee, good to see you exploring our country. Pap - is an Afrikaans language wich was a colony language. It is actually Oshifima or Oshithima in most vaniculer languages from the northern part of Namibia.those in the Eastern called it Inkoko in tge Zambezi, and in Kavango regions they call it Chivundu, etc. The Damara call it Maie, the Hereros call it Oruhere etc. Pap-Word is used by the other tribes that are living in tge southern parts of Namibia.

Just know that not all Namibians tribes eat mopane worms , it is mostly eaten in the northern regions of the country by the Aawambo people (although not all of them eat them). And the porridge/pap is made from mahangu milet or it can be made from maize that is grinded. The dry spinach is also eaten in the northern parts of Namibia ( And it's the wild one not your typical spinach you buy from the shop). The oil is from marula fruits from the marula tree. Namibia, land of the brave❤❤❤🇳🇦🇳🇦🇳🇦
@ekiamediambedeka51883 жыл бұрын
That pap (oshifima in oshiwambo, which is the traditional name), is not pure. That one is mixed with maize meal, reason why it is light. The pure original one, made solely from Pearl millet (mahangu, traditional name) is much darker and also much much more healthier.

I know you mean well Dee. But it is very disrespectful to call other people's food "toilet worms". They told you it is mopane worms why are you calling them "toilet worms". We need to learn to be respectful of other people's foods. I would suggest to remove that name "toilet worms" utterly disrespectful. Tafadali adjust hiyo title.

Yes I strongly suggest also to remove that rubbish name, who even eat toilet worms in the first place

I follow your channel and I admire your work, but sometimes your titles are misleading and in this case denigrating. You can knowingly mischaracterise food people eat as toilet worms. That is so wrong.
