BarakAllahu feeki dear sister ❤ I understood what you meant with the ease that comes with hardship. It is that Allah swt always gives us a solution (in form of worship/ dua/ sunnan) that we can say do that indeed make things easier. When I heard the news of my mother passing last year I felt as if I would pass out. But saying „inna lillahi wa Inna ilayhi rajiun“ really did something inside me and gave me strength. SubhanAllah. I felt an immediate peace. Alhamdulillah for everything ❤ one of my sisters that said it also immediately felt the same. Allahu Akbar

We say inshirah (انشراح) instead of sharh for the name of surah. May Allah reward you for your deeds.

Well done sister and thank you for sharing this. May I share how I understand this surah especially the on the last 4 verses. The verse is almost identical, but it is not. Clearly, there is a reason other than to emphasize its meaning, more than just an assurance. Indeed,ONLY with difficulty is ease. Indeed with (after) difficulty is ease.. The first time Allah is telling us that, without difficulty, we will not know or understand what is easy,hence we can never experience the feeling of ease.. For example, everybody can relate to feeling of ease financially,is that when today you earn more money that before. It is because, before you had lesser or limited money, or no money and its hard to live with no money. But how many of us are happy or felt relieved that we can breathe. there was never short of air and oxygen on this earth.. everyone can breath as much as they want for as long as they live...unlimited supply...hence nobody had ever realised that it was such a relieve or happiness that they can breath, as there were never a difficulty for us to breath.. without difficulty to breathe, we cant appreciate or feel the ease to be able to breathe... Simply put, the first one Allah tells us that if we want to feel relief, we must learn how to feel it, and the way is that we must experience difficulty.. and the second time, it means that with difficulty, (after that) is ease... This is supported by the subsequent verses where Allah says, after we had done with our hardship that we had gone thru earlier and attaining the peace and ease of life, Allah command us to STAND and strive even harder (repeat and go face another more hardship and more challenges)... because the more you learn, the harder the lesson, the more expert you become... and imagine if you are the Master or have PhD in the subject of "feeling of ease and relief", and then be granted jannah, the highest level of easiness, happiness, how will that compounded your experience as compared to those who only hold a diploma.. In summary the last for verses tell us that, only after going thru hardship, we can then learn and understand what ease is and experience such feelings. And for our benefit, keep learning and training ourselves by striving harder every time we made it thru..

The physical extension may not be correct. Because there is no explanation for this in the Qur'an. It is clear that what is mentioned in the Qur'an is spiritual expansion. The prayer of the prophet Moses also shows this.
