So instead of leaving him to keep suffering then die, he put him out of his misery. Jimmy said he could "fix it," but in reality he was just coping, & listening to him would have made Daisuke suffer more then die eventually. In Swansea's last moments, he thought about Daisuke b4 Jim killed him.

So after watching through the whole entire video I found some meanings to the names of the 3 characters and the meaning of the horse 1. daisuke means Big Help and seeing him wanting to help. 2. Swansea, when he put Daisuke out of his misery it's the same as what a swan does hence his name, they put they're young down to not see them suffer or continue on with the pain or stay sick that it hurts them. 3. Anya in Latin means grace, delicate, and strength, and the opposite words of those 3 in showing what transpired with her, and her appearance was inspired by Shelly Duvall's Wendy in The Shining. And the horse? It represents the pregnancy and carrying the responsibility which Jimmy didn't do and didn't want to do.

“Ah-Nah-Yah” is a perfectly reasonable pronunciation of “Anya.” “Nya” and “Nyah” can both be pronounced “Nah-yah” And there are probably people with that spelling that pronounce it that way.
