Adeola darling, just because someone has it worse doesnt make your situation better and it doesnt mean your problems are nothing. You are entitled to your emotions and they are valid. Its okay, we all feel down sometimes.💖

I’ve felt that way before ☹️ there was an empty void in my life. And I tried to fill it with things that I thought would make me happy but left me feeling even more empty. I realised that only God could fill that void in my life. He became my rock. The one I could run to when I felt low. The one that felt that void with unconditional love and joy. Life will still throw things your way here and there but knowing God, will help you deal with those moments so much better. Hope this helps girl 😭💕

Please continue to express yourself to us, please use your platform as there's so many people going through the same emotions as you. How you feel is sometimes unexplainable honestly, I have been there! There's days I wake up and have an empty feeling and feel like I don't want to burden anyone. I have started to talk to my sister about how I feel and she is super supportive. Massive love, you are honestly a beautiful human!!! ❤

Great vlog. I’m a black woman, currently a trainee therapist. I understand what you mean when you say you find it hard to express yourself. Well done for journaling but I would definitely suggest reaching out to a therapist or counsellor (privately or on the NHS or MIND). It’s completely normal to feel sad and down for whatever reason despite comparing your feelings to others who may be going through difficulties. Try not to invalidate your issues. Looking after your mental health should be a priority ESPECIALLY in this global pandemic. All the best 💕

Adeola, I literally know exactly how you feel. Sometimes I go through stuff and it’s just a lot of effort to let others know how I feel because I always think they’re going to remember that thing about me and think of me as a fragile person. Sometimes I wish I could just tell all my thoughts/problems to a complete stranger that I will never see again and won’t remember me just so I could get something off my chest without any perception and repercussions. I don’t want to express how I feel because I feel when you do that you put yourself into a box and people will think something is wrong everytime I’m quiet. My mood and who I am changes so much so I’d rather not tell anyone so they won’t have to try and keep up.

I feel like when we downplay our feelings bc we feel like others have it worse it's good to ask yourself if you would say this to another person talking to you about their feelings. it's important to be as kind to yourself as you'd be to others♥️

It could be the hormones from your period being near. Everytime before my period starts I get way more irritated, angry and sad that I usually do. I still do feel sad regularly but the emotion is enhanced if I'm a few day away from my period.

I be getting a wave of sadness out of nowhere either and it’s important to remember that your feelings are still valid. I just write my feelings down and talk about it with my therapist because I know hearing “awww it’s okay” etc from your peers is not gonna help me and it might make me sad even more.

Thank you for sharing. Don’t forget to breathe when you feel the sadness. Deep breaths help me get back to center. Also, what helps me is to ask myself “what/where is the immediate danger”. Sometimes our fight/flight survival mode is on & it’s because we’ve been triggered by something & we don’t even realize it. I talk to my inner child a lot & I find when I ask what/where is the danger, I am usually able t pinpoint the root of my sadness and can work on healing. The answers are always within us, never outside because God lives within. Love this channel 🖤

Hey Adeola, I don't normally comment however I felt so compelled to say something when watching your video and I just couldn't not say something. I honestly use to feel the EXACT same way! Although on the outside I'd always look happy, at the same time I always felt like I was carrying this bag of sadness everywhere around me and I just couldn't get it to go away! No matter how much I spoke to friends, journaled, go out, do activities, or even try to improve my physical health etc. it was just always there and I could never explain why or understand what the reason was. Until eventually it got to breaking point and I just couldn't keep it up anymore. So I decided to go to therapy, and it was the best thing I had ever done!!! I learned these feelings of constant sadness were only the symptoms of past traumas I had internalised for so long, that I never noticed the impacts it had on me. This is why I highly suggest you do therapy as it's a great segway into figuring out what exactly is going on and gets to the root cause instead of managing and coping with the symptoms of your problem for so long. It's really really good you have found a way to express your emotions through journaling, but it could also be really beneficial to speak to a therapist about how you've been feeling, just to get that external feedback from someone you have no personal attachment to. Giving you that safe space to express yourself. Plus, by not having that personal attachment helps you not feel so guilty or fear that you might burden those close to you. Really admired your honesty on how you've been feeling recently as it's not something people are usually brave enough to do, but hope this helps you get to the answers!!

You have every right to feel how you feel. A lot of people can't express themselves to people they care for. Therapy is a tool if you can afford it/nhs and can call the good samaritan free number in case you want someone to talk to at a moment in time. They are trained councillors

I know exactly how you feel! I feel like the position you’re in would really benefit from speaking to someone external, like a therapist. Someone who you only ever see when you need to talk to someone about the shit you’re feeling and who’ll never chase or nag you unless you approach them for another session. I did this and go for ‘MOT’ sessions all the time whenever I’m feeling down. It’s so helpful and makes a huge difference 🥰

Girl! As you're an air sign and a Libra at that, the switching if thoughts can be mad because you're trying to balance everything, but you're human girl and it can be hard to reach out, but you got your people. Also when people ask are you ok, try not to see it as annoying as remember their energy is a caring one and in someway could be a way to release the stress and your thoughts, but obviously to the people you trust cause some people just wanna be in your businesssss....don't do that! Hi there, I really enjoyed this vlog 😍, I would like to talk about the sadness you’ve been feeling , I deal with the same times to times even if the reasons may not be the same, I would say mine comes from an emptiness I tried to fill with things or people that didn’t resonate as someone said on top. I think it’s important to embrace your pain and take a little extra care of yourself on those days, resting, eating your fave food or even take a walk can reset your mood BUT it’s important to dig deeper and acknowledge all your emotions and what they’re trying to tell you, overall I would say it’s key to fill yourself with yourself and to live your TRUTH no matter what and also train your energy and your vibe and protect it at all cost. Take care ✨
