I agree about the doors. I can appreciate they help bring light into the room but that morning light situation is no Bueno. I think a barn door could be cool, or even just a regular door could be nice. Excited for you and all the updates this year😊

The fingerprints aren't too noticeable since I put that frost on there. I mean the windows get dirty but you can't SEE then as much.

I’m 100% pocket door fan, I’d you can do that. If not I would do sliding barn door. Either way I would go for solid door and slim it down to one door. That’s wall would be valuable storage space

I've long thought that your french doors are a big use of space in your room. I'd remove them and put in a solid pocket door. My aunt recently had an opening between her office and living room filled in with a solid pocket door (she didn't need such a big opening) and it didn't take that long. She hired someone but in general it's not that difficult. You buy your door, you get the frame/hardware and then you install it and add drywall, baseboard and paint. I think it would be a lot more functional here 😊

I think so too! The double doors are dramatic but they get in the way, don't lock or block out light in the morning.

This carpet needs to go! Especially since all flooring around it is new! Hallway & Mac room new, new closet floor and even our bathroom had new tiles before we moved in because there was a leak in there. The carpeting is showing its age.

Good bedroom refresh. Still in love with your closet. I vote to go with one regular size door for the bathroom. It takes up a lot of wall space. It does make your bedroom bright with windows on three sides, but get how it would be a pain at night. One door would give you more design options in the bath, and I was going to say more room for your hubby's chest, but it sounds like it's on the move, too. 😊 Getting new carpet and bath sounds like a wonderful next step. BTW what are the wide blinds in your bedroom and do you like them? I need to replace the ones on my living room french doors.

I love the blinds! We got ours from selectblinds dot com they are 2" faux wood blinds no cord so just pull and push up it does have a rod to open and close the blinds for light and privacy. I really like them we used the same company when we did the blinds in our previous house as well.

Our cleaning never ends lol.. i cant wait for your new bathroom i know its something you been wanting to do for the longest time.. i like the barn doors not to sure if that's your style or not.. we use our dresser for like socks, undergarments and such but everything else is hung up in the closet its easier to maintain for the most part..enjoy the rest of your day💜💜

I would definitely install pocket door ( or sliding barn) and use the same colour as you have used on the rest of your bedroom furniture, great video Jessie thank you

Once the carpet is gone and you replace the floor, it will brighten everything up, those blinds I would keep up to bring in the sunshine or remove them, I would have less in bedroom and maybe paint the furniture white, doesn’t match that beautiful closet now 💕

I actually don't like a lot of bright light in my room haha. I like it dark like a cozy cave. Weird I know I keep the blinds down and shut like a hermit.

Great motivation. Your husband is handy could he just make a wall and have a standard door added for total wall space. Pocket door might work however I personally do not think the sliding doors are a thing in my opinion just wasted space.

While I know what you mean by the light shining in through the glass as I have those on my bedroom entrance doors which are directly across from the livingroom outdoor windows, I personally hate those picket doors. We had a pocket on our master bath door and ended up removing it as the latches always end up breaking and they can be noisy when sliding as well as grandsons slamming them all the time. We changed to a regular door on the bathroom and I ended up putting two vinyl rolling shades on our master entrance doors. If I had my time back when we had Reno’s done, I would have had the double entrance doors taken out and just had one wide door put in which would not have taken up as much space either. I think with Malcolm being a toddler, you may regret the pocket door as children seem to gravitate towards them and thinking they are neat to play with. Btw, they (my grandsons) would jam their fingers all the time when sliding the door. The reason they were in there all the time is because the tub is huge and they considered it their personal swimming pool, lol.

I totally get what you're saying! They can be loud. We had a pocket door for our bathroom in our previous house and loved it. We have anpocket door now for our closet and love it for there as well. We will see if it works out for the bathroom here or not.
