PRO TIP FOR DIRTY FLOORS THAT YOU CAN'T SEEM TO GET CLEAN: - use a swiffer! (or mop) because they are wet, they can really grab dust and stains off floors that sweeping and vacuuming won't!

I feel the best way to get motivated is If seeing other people makes you motivated then clearly watch videos like this. Once your set on cleaning, set a very short timer. 10 minutes is a good start. Then play your music or have a show rolling in the background. You will have a lot of motivation most likely for the first 10 minutes. So it will go by quickly and before that motivation starts wearing off the timer will go off and you’ll feel surprised that wow 10 minutes passed already. And that will make you feel more proud. It doesn’t matter if the thing your tackling doesn’t look any different it’s the fact that you are doing it and you should be proud that you at least got 10 minutes into it. Because some people can’t even get the motivation to begin. It’s a major jump. I do it every other weekend and I have since I was in middle school(I’m in high school now) my room is clean and has been for a while. I have adhd so those many timers that go off every 10 minutes kept me motivated. Soon it became 20 then 30. Or not at all because I knew I could do it and it was easy for me. OR because there was barley any mess for me to clean in the beginning. Set a day in the week to to laundry. Make a bin of stuff you love to wear. And put it last so you are eager to get to it and have to wash the clothes you NEED first. Set up a pattern in your clothes. I put all my jeans and cartoon related shirts in the wash together because cartoon shirts have their own space and jeans have their own. So you don’t have to go crazy putting clothes away all over your room. You just tackle 2 or 3 different places.

I feel like cleaning just helps me have a positive mindset throughout the day. My tips to cleaning my room will have to be like putting the same clothes in the the same drawer like for example one drawer I put my socks and pjs in one drawer and leggings and tank tops in another basically like that and also listening to some calming music in the background so I can actually get something done😂
