Today we repair damaged alloy wheels and deep clean a Vauxhall Tigra, removing years of built up mud and grime! In less than 20 mins we give this car a mini make over.

Superb job as always, looks awesome and worth a few hunder pounds more . Always better to make a car look awesome rather than poorly presented . Nothing worse than looking at a car that doesn't look as good as it should and walking away and finding a car that does look good as someone has actually put some time and effort into a car that screams buy me and has the wow factor

Sometimes it’s not just the actual £ value of the car that determines if it’s worth restoring a vehicle, I’ve owned one of these cars and had both camshaft’s break in two because of the camshaft saddle bolts worked loose and allowed them both to flex and snap, I also had the situation where the boot lid would not raise, the motor ran but no lift. And it honestly was the car I regretted selling, when it was going ok it was a joy to drive. Ok it wasn’t a more prestigious car but I really miss not owning one at the moment.
@homerfj11002 жыл бұрын
Agreed on not having a 'top notch' professional job on the wheels. You said "not economically viable as the car's worth circa 1500". I was just thinking, if an owner really liked the car and kept it up to scratch, servicing , paint etc, those engines can do 200k. Thus, the economics wouldn't be an issue.
@legioner92 жыл бұрын
This car is very pretty. I always found it looking nice. Btw., in regards to Koch-Chemie, the first word is pronounced with "h" at the end, not with "sh". Kochen is a german verb which is pronounced "kohen", but not like "Cohen - as an english name", but with H, like in "house". Take care.

To be fair, I’ve seen awfully prepared cars at much higher price points… I bought an £18k 320 a couple of years back, and it was awful. The dealer eventually gave me 250 back for me to get it detailed to the standard it should have been first time around. Frustrating that some people just don’t seem to care.

Lovely job. Those Tigras were coach-built by Heuliez in Cerezey France, same company made the Peugeot 206CC. There is a silver H badge on the front wing.
@everydaydetailing64492 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info 👍
@LexTNeville Жыл бұрын
Heuliez just did the roof mechanism for 206CC. For the Tigra, Opel spent a lot of time getting the Heuliez facility up to scratch to build the entire car - with many still going at >200,000M, they did a decent job. Designed by Martin Smith, whose portfolio includes various Porsches, the Audi Quattro and the VX220. Quite interesting cars.
