Those felt pads are different. I have seen those for 22 caliber air guns, but nothing larger than 22

These are very useful and they make a significant difference when cleaning the barrel. They come dimensioned for several calibers. The specific item data codes I have listed in the description. Have a great day. 👍

Good morning Mike. Just had a look at your twitter account. I like it. That Dominion arms Backpacker is a nice one Mike. Personally I don't make much use of twitter and Facebook. I just post something every once in a while. Take care and have a great day.

Great demo and process. My process is very similar but instead of a patch I wrap a patch strip around a nylon brush (one size smaller than caliber) because it gets into the rifling better. I was unfamiliar with that Militec-1 and will check that out. Thanks. BTW I don't use the JB Bore Paste every time, but occasionally. I use the BoreTech products and also like MPro7 cleaner to clean the bore. Frog lube works well as a final conditioner and rust preventative especially if you are going to store the firearm for a period of time.

that's like a magic show, I thought the barrel was clean to start with(haha) but wow , how black the felt came out, is that really residue or just chemical reaction with the metal, as in will it turn black even if barrel had been cleaned like this beforehand? I can certainly see from the wear patterns on the outside of barrel that it's been well used. I like how organized your table is even if it's for the video, having supplies out and on hand, nice. If this is your procedure for a 5 inch pistol barrel that usually used for under 50 yards I'm holding my breath to see what you do for a precision rifle !! Great content, production, music is low key background, text is concise, perfect size and position.

Good morning John. Thanks for taking time to see and comment accordingly👍🙏. When using the felt and JB Bore on a previously cleaned barrel, the felt comes out with a shade of grey rather than totally black. The Bore cleaner is essentially removing the carbon. I have been cleaning my barrels for 10 years with the wrong methodology. I thought I was doing a great job but I meet someone recently and he introduced me to this system and products (Kroil, J-B Bore, Militec 1). This is the same process he uses on precision rifles. Since using this cleaning method, my shooting has improved because it makes a real difference. This barrel has been fired at least 20,000 rounds. (To be clear, If I clean the barrel completely with this method and then I put a new felt in with the paste, it comes out gray, slightly grayer than the paste itself. but not black.) I use the same exact method you see here for the 9 months now. When the camera is off I would be little less organized and items would be a little more scattered. Also the carton would be covered in dirt but I used a new carton for the clip. I am happy you like how it all came out. Now I am editing a second part of the cleanup for the rest of the handgun. In a couple of weeks I should have it released. Take care and have a great week.

@@ReloadingMoreAD1966 Thanks for info! real world results always best! I do prefer chemical rather than mechanical cleaning as long as chemicals not toxic, I'll look into this method! Reminds me of when people first used borescopes and could see what actually remained in 'clean' rifle barrels!

Much appreciate you stopping by the channel When it comes to frequency of cleaning, I tend to clean within 10 days from first shooting or following 500 rounds, whatever comes first. About accuracy, I can tell you without any doubt that I see a great improvement on accuracy. Honesty I don't notice this anymore but the very first time I cleaned in this way it was extremely easy to see. My accuracy increased dramatically. in addition, the weapon itself works even smoother. Here is also an interesting clip that is with regards to the cleanup of the frame. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4C0dWmrmJqbisk . Take care and enjoy the week.
