I live in Maryland but raved in Washington, DC. Deep Dish, who formed in DC, were local dance music GODS for an entire Decade and a half. They had a music store in Washington, DC, called Yoshitoshi. We all hung out there. Ali & Sharam weren't there all the time but we didn't care, we cared about the music & our scene. The US East Coast was & still is one one of the World's biggest House music communities & boosters. We can't help it. House music is urban & soulful, & so are we. Props to Scott & Lievin & everyone else who paid the cost to make sure I could dance on a Friday.
