The part that you indicated about them injecting comedy into a such intense video was showing someone that looks like Sabastian Bach, who ripped into Ronnie on social media when FIR cancelled a concert because the laptops that had their backing tracks ended up at the wrong venue. That part of the video was Ronnie's way to getting back with having the image of Sabastian being hit by falling laptops. Great reaction by the way. Loved watching your expressions while absorbing the video and then your deep dive into the lyrics.

I’m going to make a recommendation for a band strictly based off of your sense of humor. Electric Callboy - Hypa Hypa. Now, this is not a band to breakdown psychologically nor are their lyrics deep or thought provoking. They are pure fun & their videos are hilarious. A German band, who occasionally do sing in German, but mostly sing English. I think you will love their vibes. Rock on 🤘🏼

I soooo love your, "What in the unicorn farts?!" commentary. I always smile when I hear you say it. Honestly I couldn't understand most of the song. I'm too old to keep up with this one, I had to look up the lyrics to understand the song. But once I did... wow! They are amazing! "I actually battle my demons and shadows, They swim in the deep and they creep in the shallows, I'm lost" I can relate to this so much it literally hurts. Old retired solder "literally", not young opposite of literally "literally". I had to medicate, I use THC to stave off my PTSD, after reading the lyrics.

I think he addressed the religion stuff subtly in the scene. I believe it is addressing organized religion, not necessarily God or belief in a higher power. When he says watch the world burn, you will notice that it is the priest and the cross that burn, but the Bible remains unharmed (until the rest of the world burns at the end I guess). I think you hit the nail on the head when you point out the corruption in faith being used to control and manipulate.

I love that subversion of timing. One of the best songs I can use as an example is the Deadmau5 track "Strobe". The first drop is in rhythm, in tempo, technically out of tune(reverb wall) yet entirely in the pocket. That is a rave sound. Used perfectly. The second drop is right on the one of a 4/4...and it drops HARD. Seriously.

I remember somewhere somebody explaining hate and love as not opposite ends of a spectrum but rather the beginning and end of a circle. Hate and love require the same amount of emotional investment. Since a circle is without beginning or end, the beginning and end have to be the same point.

I think when when he changes into a demon he isn't changing into a demon but a vampire and the imagery is more like what you would expect in the move Underworld. The first part is a continuing reference from the video Voices in My Head that want him to kill and the two pilots are dead and a bomb is activated with 16 Seconds. The double time bars are a flex where he gets to fall in revers from the plane. Then a obvious Order 66 Star wars feel and look with a Darth and Disney Reference. I can't leave out the Sebastian Bach (Skid Row) laptop reference.

The Ego, the Id, the Shadow and the Collective Unconscious. (The part of the self that actively parses the human experience, the instinctual element of the human experience, the aspect of one's self that is hidden from the Self, and the meme connection across cultures, spaces and time.) Ego, Id, Shadow, Collective unconscious. I am fairly certain that is close to the correct explanation of Carl Jung's axioms as they intersect with the work of sigmund freud(and ironically: richard dawkins. Because Sir Richard Dawkins applied evolutionary biology to the concept of sociology and specifically: memes. In some ways, he quantified some Jungian concepts.

@py_a_thon

In some ways that is a result of nihilism perhaps. Nietzsche said very explicitly that: "God is Dead" and then tried to explain why. Karl Marx called religion the "opiate of the masses". Germans created nihilism to a degree. And there is value perhaps in that form of analysis. Russian existentialists then argued something that wanted to be an antidote to nihilism. And in a single sentence, that is maybe: "Beware the death of gods; and choose your new gods carefully." They fought over that concept. Greatly. Millions died as god was replaced by governance. Existentialism goes far beyond that, yet that is hopefully a single bar form of an introduction to the intersection of german nihilism/marxism and russian existentialism. The story does not stop there. Shoutout to the french and brits and some americans for enlightenment. And then shoutout back in time to Voltaire, who was basically just heavy metal nihilism with the precursors to enlightenment. *This comment was brought to you by unapologetic bias*

Great reaction! You should really dive into this rabbit hole of Falling in Reverse. Ronnie Radke is a genius! Watch the following: Popular Monster Voices in my head The trilogy in this order: - Losing my mind - Losing my life - Drugs Also his two old songs and the new remakes: "The Drug in Me is You" followed by "The Drug in Me is Reimagined" which is a complete reimagining of the old song. "I'm Not a Vampire" followed by "I'm Not a Vampire (Revamped)" which is also a complete reimagining of the old song.

You have to go back into the band’s history a little bit to understand some of the Easter eggs. The band had to cancel a show because somehow their laptops were lost in transit. Sebastian Bach from Skid Row was very vocal about it. In the video they drop a bunch of laptops on “Sebastian”. I love the bits that you have to know to catch.

When I watch this video, it seems like a progression from start to finish. He talks about his mental health. He references his haters and then the industry, the snakes in the grass who are looking to strike at any moment and make him prey. He jumps up from the pit to the higher ground and states that he won't play their game and will mind his business. Thats when it progresses to the Star Wars scene where he is asking for positive energy because he's getting a little too worked up and can feel his triggers starting to go. Then it goes the the scene with the demon; the demon is typing what he is saying and it can be seen as a stenographer but I think it's meant to be that the demon is telling him what to say. They stand up and they're saying the same things and it send him back to reality where he says he can't control it anymore. He continues from there in the church, being exorcised as he's saying the heavier stuff, he drops the bomb "everything they taught you was a lie" and the chaos happens. He Is the one delivering the message to free yourself thus starting the fire that makes the world burn. People are going to see him as a villain but the world will burn as people start to free themselves.

Radke poses his opinion here about where the world, or better humanity, is going at, and it isn't any good, so maybe there is an extinction at hand which could possibly reset everything! Maybe drastic but who knows...? I myself don't think he's only talking about himself, I think it's much wider than that! He spent time in prison and he says about that time that it opened his eyes, not of his own person, but of the world! Inside he had the time to see the world change at an alarming rate and not for the better, afterwards he said "I was in two years and when I came out the world was ten years further, but down the drain!".

It's pure narcissism, which is always entertaining. Bond villains and arch enemies of superheroes are always the most interesting characters -- especially when they confront their hero nemeses and do the monologue about how they are almost the same "Join me on the dark side, blah-blah and complete your journey, blah-blah." Love that. SO juicy. One of the main things that made Star Wars great, IMO, was that Lucas turned the villain monologue on its head -- having Luke try to turn Vader. "We're nearly the same, I sense the good in you. Just step into the light"
