Are the IR lights 940nm? Could someone see any light emitting from the camera in the dark? Does the camera make any sound when moving or zooming, or is it silent?

Hello Dean. Great questions. This video was done a while ago. From what I remember, you can see the IR lights and I don’t recall the camera making any sound when moving. But don’t quote me on this info. Your best bet is to address these same questions directly to Reolink support.

It's nearly silent. It can be heard if you are close enough. And the lights are visible. The new E1 Zooms have a auto-tracking facility and new feature sets as well.

Put the Reolink app on the phones. Not sure if you can actually share to other users, but you can sign in as the same user on all devices.

Auto tracking doesn’t work and their support say this normal. Don’t waste your money.

The newer ones DO indeed track. Just tested mine. In order to get it to work, one needs to enable "Auto Tracking" and then also set up both the tracking type ( Human or pet or both ) and then set the sensitivity PLUS set up the "Object Size" for Both Human /Pet. When setting up the Object Size, I believe you need to set both a "Moving Objects that are smaller than this size will NOT trigger the alarm" ( set it to a smallish box ) and also set the "Moving objects that are bigger than this size will not trigger this alarm" and then set this box to a VERY LARGE BOX .. then click Save. Essentially one is setting the size of a PET as being no smaller than "this" and no larger than "that" and also doing the same for a human. So, because both changes dependent upon distance from camera plus zoom setting, I chose "small" box for the "that are smaller" and a very large (1/2 of the screen actually ) for the "Large" box. The logic used is RIDICULOUS and decidedly backwards for most folks. IF you want motion tracking, I would decide AGAINST setting up a Detection Zone as it also has backwards logic which would nullify nearly all other settings. Note that tracking is ONLY horizontal - thus BIG and SMALL boxes must be set - I believe to make it work Note that there are TWO models of the Reolink E1 Zoom. The older models have NO tracking ability- due to hardware. The newer ones do; and that model also has an ethernet plug on the camera. Inside the apps ( both windows and Android - as far as I tested ) - there is other slight differences between the two models. For example the older models do NOT show an option for Motion Tracking nor is there an option to perform an update check on the firmware without first downloading the firmware manually. The newer models are recognized and have the "Auto Tracking" switch, and a button for "Check for latest version" under maintenance.

@@MrPir84free I worked their technical support department. They looked at all settings, it will track ALONG AS YOU TAKE ONE STEP WAIT 3 SECONDS THEN TAKE ANOTHER STEP. I wouldn’t call that working. I bought a competitor’s product, it tracks FAR faster and was cheaper. Again don’t waste your money.
