Haha thanks. I got them from Temu. So much better once I replaced them 😂

Glad to see someone actually put this thing through its paces. Great review. You should do the 1273kt next!

Really enjoyed hearing your "ear" take on what the unit was doing.... I pre-ordered mine back in July, have been told that I should finally have it mid-Janurary..... 🤞🤞

Oh man that’s a big wait! It’s really a great bit of gear. Crossing my fingers for you 🤞

Be careful of the plastic pots, they are very brittle and if you try turning them too hard they will break.

@@diyrecordingstudioHi Mitch, I have just stumbled upon a deal through Bettermusic on a KT76 for $349... is it worth taking a punt on this unit 🤔, cheers Brad 🤓

I have the 369 for half a year now and didn’t regret buying it for a second. I use it on my drumbus and sometimes as a bus compressor. It’s not a versatile tool but it does it’s thing and does it very well. I also bought the Klark Teknik LA2A clone and it’s a really nice piece as well, love it on vocals and sounds better than any plugin I have. I also tried the Audioscape 33609 plugin which is pretty good imo but the 369 sounded definitely better, I think the Midas transformers are really not that bad. After all it’s all a matter of taste and if it works who cares what brand it is. Have a wonderful New Year, do what you love and show kindness ❤

Yeah it’s very decent. I think it actually is quite versatile though. It would t be my go to for everything but it can be decent on a lot of sources.

I've had mine for a few months now. I love the low end weight/push it adds that plugin versions just totally lack. Couldn't pick it out in a blind test vs a real Neve more than 50% of the time, which is basically chance.

That’s good to know vs the real thing. Just finished filming a shootout vid against some popular plugin versions. You’ll be shocked how different they are. Haha.

This compressor sounds really good on drumbus, on vocals its doing a great job! Smooth and grabbing a little on the high frek 10-12khz ! Love this little compressor, I just need to hide the Behringer text to my clients!

Where did you get the knobs?

I think Temu actually, either there or Ali express. I can’t remember but I think Temu. Cheap but rugged and they look sick.

@@diyrecordingstudio They do look cool. I don't suppose you have a link? I'm not seeing them on Temu or Ali Express

369 “Mixer”? Or compressor? I have a modded Audioscape MK-609 if you wanna do a shootout!

Haha did I accidentally call it a mixer in this vid?

I wouldn't use the limiter on kick and I would have slow attack to keep it punchy with fast release.

Yeah fair point.

You need NS10’s in your life , trust me. I find my Smart compressor actually pushes the sides down a tiny bit. It can actually make things sound smaller if not finessed. Would love to have friendly mix offs with you, I always learn something doing this with anyone. I think it would help your mixes too. Can learn something from anyone in this game. I have previous charted work and radio airplay success etc. immediately I feel the kick is too bright, metal kick in a rock track, the snare is too loud and not enough smack or ambience. Guitars seem too bright and need proper compression imo for a bit of spank. Bass not warm enough. Mean all this very respectively. Love to mix it for practice myself if you have any sessions you’d share with me? I have sessions if you’re interested. I’m very skeptical of this Behringer unit, if they can’t even get the pots/knobs right imagine their haphazardly approach to circuits. It’s all a bit of a distasteful money grab imo.

I'm looking for someone to have a mix off with. Your post is perfect timing. Are you in? I'm on FB under Walter Riggi in Canada.
