I like you lads (and lady) Even more now I've seen the mental health episode. I was at the Leeds fest in 2014 and collapsed and woke up in Jimmy's hospital 2 weeks later. I'd been in a coma because my heart had packed in. I had something called endocarditis (before anyone thinks drugs, which everyone did at the time). It attacked my heart and I needed a triple bypass and aortic valve replacement. I died 4 times. Anyway, long story short, I was a classically trained chef all my life before that, I'd had Sous chef and then head chef jobs (Horrible Industry to work in, unless you're right at the top). Stressful and shit hours, but I loved my job at the time. I was in hospital for 6 months and when I got out, tried getting my job back. Nobody would take me because of the implications of working a fast paced job with previous open heart surgery. I fell into a deep depression and drugs. I was only 35 at the time. I thought it was the end. Anyway, I've managed to beat my demon's, both mentally and the drug using right up until last year, when I lost both my mum and dad 3 months apart and relapsed with my mental health and drug use. Don't even try drugs kids. They're not cool and it will eventually spiral out of control. I managed to come round and stop the using and got help with my mental illness and today I'm OK. I've started going back to gigs now and started coming to terms with loosing mum and dad. Life is so cruel sometimes, but all you need is great, sincere friends who you can talk to about anything, plus any banter goes. I've had the same circle of close friends since we were kids and we still do festivals and gigs. I've only just discovered TPD TV and subscribed and just listening to your banter cheers me up, but Choccy talking about his mental health with no frills or bullshit was like therapy itself. Oh yeah, I'm not gay, but since finding out Dan is Bi, I'm looking at him and think he is a handsome chap and I get it. Mary is such a cool girl too. Good looking girls, but we don't look at them in that way and prefer their friendship more than a relationship. It can ruin everything if you cross that line. Right, I'll shut up now. I've gone way off on a tangent. I'll get my coat...

To the point of what to value in a freind: I really value what Mary and Dan said there. But also I one time was the one who took up some talk of a freind sour. And thats shit of me, but he was insulting a thing I really like(a hobby) and not in a funny kinda way, but he meant it. That got to me after some time and I screamed at him. We did not talk about it afterwards, but he also never dissed the hobby again. Still it somewhat decreased our level of friendship and thats sad. I don't know what I'm really trying to say, but I think it's: the value of "talk shit about each other and not meaning it"(which I think is absolutely fantastic) goes ways? Don't talk smack(and mean it) about stuff your friends like.
