Over 40 years ago I was involved in the design and development of a range of linear ball bearing guide pin and bush units. Our ball cages were captive in the guide bush rather than on the guide pin, a better arrangement. We also had an ingenious method of installing the balls and crimping them in place in the one smooth operation. An opposition company, at the time, had a team of workers dropping the balls into the cage, one at a time and staking them in place with a hammer and chisel! They went broke, but doubtless others have improved on that primitive method since.

Must be a try out because the clamp slots in the base plate don't line up with the tee slots in the press.

Better not get that strip off station when you are stocking the die, after you get strip thru put die on bottom turn feed to clamp hit it few times with lube flowing put back on bottom turn feed on and let her rip !!

Only four guide pins for such an enormous die? wtf. Hands inside the die with the press spinning? crazy operator...

That is a small die. Looks like about maybe a ton or two. Big dies weigh 40 to 50 tons.
