Deep Dub Session w/ Korg Volca Sample & FM

I recently got super inspired by a technique from ‪@OscarUnderdog‬ latest video about resonators. As I'm always experimenting a lot on how to create complex and lively sounds from a simple setup I wanted to give this a shot. So I created a resonator-FX Chain and fed my drum section (coming from the Volca Sample) into it. The drums are passed through a Gate with randomized LFO to make it a little bit more unpredictable. Accompanied by some deep Stabs from the Volca FM this instantly created a nice dynamic groove.

I am planning to make a little explanaition video for a very long time but didn't manage to record it until now. I will try to create one very soon to go bit more into depth. Basically the setup up looks like this: Ableton works as the main midi clock, Sequencer and recording tool. The volcas are controlled via midi from ableton using a midi splitter (not very visible in the videos). The volcas then go into an audio interface to record them on seperate tracks.
