Deep Fear (ディープフィアー Dīpu Fiā?) is a 1998 survival horror video game developed by Sega AM7 and System Sacom for the Sega Saturn. It was the last Saturn game released in Europe. The game offers unique gameplay features such as buttons that allow the player to use items in real-time, aiming while moving, and falling oxygen levels. The music was composed by Kenji Kawai, and the creatures and characters were designed by manga artist Yasushi Nirasawa.
The plot of Deep Fear is inspired by the films Leviathan and The Abyss. The game takes place 300 meters below the surface of the Pacific Ocean in a naval fueling and research facility known as "The Big Table" (SSB-01). Players assume the role of John Mayor, an ex-Navy SEAL

So underrated. I'm a huge RE fan, but honestly this games story was way more intriguing than 90% of the resident evil games out there Imo. Other than that though, in most other categories it falls short when compared to RE1 on psx. 8/10

My main question is: *_WHAT--?!?_* Seriously, I understand the limited graphics, but the vocal "talent" sounds like an American high schhol class on its field trip in Japan. The producers flagged them down with an offer to "be in the movies"!

Like with the original Resident Evil (1, 2, and 3) when they came out, the voice acting is terrible by our standard and English speakers alike. But the reason for it being so stilted and dull is because it was to help Japanese players learn to speak English. And seeing as any subtitles for spoken dialogue for this game would've only been in Japanese (which was the case the Resident Evil games I mentioned), that was likely the case for Deep Fear as well.

It could be theorized that way. The only difference is that Deep Fear deals with bacteria / parasites that mutated while in outer space and brought back to Earth. Whereas, in Parasite Eve deals with the mitochondria part inside a human cell that ran rampant and had a mind of its own.

I do not agree. This game is a much better story and graphics than resident evil because o lot of very good "movie segences". He deserves a remake. E.g. An idea with a falling Jet to the sea is amazing. Many very good sequences etc.... Amazing game. Gameplay is absolutely same as resident evil.
