Jimpster has been performing a hardware-based live set for the past couple of years now, with gigs already being played at We Out Here Festival, Jazz Cafe (London), TV Lounge (Detroit), Heideglughen (Berlin) and Louie Vega’s Ritual night in Ibiza to name a few. For this session he invites drummer Andy Gangadeen to join him to perform four tracks for Defected Broadcasting House.

He’s playing an electronic kit so triggering kick, snare, claps and hihat samples but he also has mics for acoustic hihats, ride and crash. I’d never be able to program hihats and rides like that! 😊

@@abletonlivefordrummers8974 he's one of the best drummers I've ever seen live - he's more than capable of that consistency. The Bays sets used to improv non-stop for a couple of hours at least.

@@mogaro7525 I was Just wondering because there is a Roland TR8S and it seems that some parts of the beats are comming from it. I assume only the percussion elements are commimg from the tr8s and the main elements (kick , claps, hihat) , were played. Sounds like a human drum machine.
