And a BIG THANK YOU to all of our viewers and subscribers for making houseboat life so fun for us this past year! Can you believe we made it ONE WHOLE YEAR on KZbin? Let us know what else you’d like to see from us this spring and summer as we continue our journey - more how to’s, houseboat camping, what else?

Congratulations on the one year. I agree that more advertising would be great but also the tips and tricks of houseboat docking, anchoring ideas and how tools. I rent houseboats in the NW but your right,there's no houseboat channels so you guys are plowing the waters so no matter what the channel does it will be watched by thousands. Thank you for all the hard work behind the scenes in making videos .

Thank you so much for the well wishes and ideas, David! We really do appreciate hearing what would be useful to talk about in our next videos. Where about do you rent houseboats in the NW? Wish we had more houseboat rental options down here where we are in Georgia. It would be fun to come rent out a houseboat sometime. That area of the world is beautiful!

Lake Shasta in Northern California, and lake Roosevelt in Washington state. I have done two trips to Canada to shuswap lake . All of our trips were done with twin anker houseboats so they track quite a bit different than your beautiful home. An idea for a future video from me would be the pros and cons of owning or renting a boat slip. And your prosses when you got the boat. Is it slip first then look for a boat or look for a boat for sale with a slip. I'm sure you pulled your hair out somewhere in your purchasing with a hurdle or two.

Wow, all really stunning lakes. That trip to Canada/Shuswap Lake on a houseboat sounds absolutely epic. We may have to add renting a houseboat on one of these lakes to our bucket list for our own enjoyment...and maybe we can make a video on it, too. We've heard of Lake Powell for houseboating, but it's nice to see there are other options, too. That's a great idea about pros/cons of slips. We actually had a different slip initially...kind of a funny story, so we can definitely share more on that. Great idea!

Hi guys, was so excited to see this post pop up, glad you got all moved and everything, but really glad to see you back on the boat, made my day, more adventure videos would be cool or beach and water videos, with the boat of course, just some ideas, hope you had a wonderful Easter, til next time 👍🙏❤️😎🛥️bye

Hey Ruth! We had a wonderful Easter with family. Hope yours was great, too. It felt sooooo relaxing to be back at the houseboat after moving. Just what we needed! Love the idea about more adventure videos with the beach/water/boat. The video we're releasing in a couple of weeks will be a lot of that. We're so excited to take the houseboat out a ton more this summer, and are already out doing that with the nice 80 degree weather we've been having here in GA. Always great to hear from you. Hope you are well.

LOVE your videos! Extremely helpful and informative for us. We bought a 1999 Somerset on Lake Allatoona at the Allatoona yacht club and your videos was the only reason we bought. We are still learning but love the houseboat and am looking forward to taking it out and camping out for a week at a time since we are recently retired. Please keep making the videos. A suggestion…please discuss the top deck and gel coat issues. Our boat has carpet which we will remove this winter as there is most likely a leak issue. Folks need to know do not put carpet down on the top deck! LOVE your outdoor dock. Wish we were not in a covered dock at our yacht club but that is our only option. We will back our boat in this Fall so we can have water views from the living and kitchen area.

Hey Shelley! Thank you so much for your kind words about our videos. It makes us SO happy to hear that we were able to help y’all get into the houseboat lifestyle. It’s such a joyous experience to have, and y’all won’t regret your decision. Even better that you are recently retired and can spend more time at your houseboat. It will be such an adventure to get to do houseboat camping for longer stints. You could even camp a few days at one beach and then switch to another, if you’d like! Great suggestion to talk about the top deck and gel coat. We actually need to get some work done on ours right now as part of routine maintenance. Can’t believe someone put carpet on your top deck 😫. Hopefully hasn’t done too much damage. We almost decided to do Lake Allatoona instead on Lanier. How do you like it there? It’s a beautiful area. Your comment made our day 😃

Ahh so somebody else already told you about ropes vs lines. I was always told ropes are for horses, lines are for boats. But overall you guys seem pretty well educated about boating. Fun to watch as well
@DeepHouseboatLife2 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah, we've had some fun ropes vs. lines threads on a few of our other videos. Always appreciate learning from other boaters. Just wish we could remember to actually call them lines heh. Thank you for your kind words about our channel!

Love the channel, love the whole house boat thing. Like I've mentioned, we have a 27' Pontoon but plan on upgrading to a house boat within the next few years. Appreciate your dedication and you are right, if I was at an airport, etc and ran into you guys, I would stop and say hi! Congrats on the 1 year! To many more! 🍾🥂🎉
@DeepHouseboatLife2 жыл бұрын
Ben! Thank you so much! We always look forward to reading your comments. Puts a smile on our faces. We're glad you're still considering a houseboat in the next few years. When are y'all planning to take the pontoon out on the water for boating season? Is it still winterized?

Congrats on starting year 2! Would love to see some guest appearances from dock mates and friends… just a friendly suggestion, though, keep doing what you’re doing!

I commented this half way through the video… and you had the same idea by end! How cool!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We are excited to start year two with everyone. We are also happy to hear you'd like to see more from dock mates and friends - we're never really sure if people want to see that or not, so we appreciate you saying that. I'm sure we could convince someone, maybe with a beer or two, to hop on camera haha. Dock life with friends and dock neighbors is one of the best parts of houseboating.

I knew I was having withdrawal symptoms from something, your videos! I feel fixed now😂 that view behind you! Incredible I could just sit there forever. Louise knows to well how I'd love your life with a houseboat so I managed to get her to watch this one with me.."watch our kind of people" 😁.a lazy Saturday morning viewing. Loved the 'sailors in Australia' comment, I feel slightly famous now 🤣 Q: I guess when/if you have to clean the bottom of the houseboat, you get it lifted out like we do with the yacht? Do you have a company local for that? Or do you grab your snorkel gear? Haha... I've seen some you tubers do live KZbin , that would be so awesome to watch you guys do🙏 Stay safe guys! 🙏
@DeepHouseboatLife2 жыл бұрын
Hahaha hopefully this video helped you get your DHL fix! We'll have another out next Thursday as well - where we actually show our latest houseboat camping adventure. So lucky we get to have these views. What did Louise think about the houseboat life and houseboat people?? It's always fun when we get to hear from you. Your question - we actually don't ever clean the bottom of our houseboat. While we never go fast enough for the momentum to clean the algae from the bottom of the boat, our lake is pretty clean. And what is on there doesn't corrode the aluminum hull, so we only really pull our houseboat out of the water for major repairs (which we haven't had to do yet). I'm sure there is someone out there that cleans the bottom of their houseboat with divers...maybe we can try that sometime ha. LOVE your idea about doing a live stream. It's something we've been considering for a while and would like to do at some point this summer. We appreciate your suggestion, and hope you have a great rest of the week.

@@DeepHouseboatLife awesome! Can't wait to watch the next adventure.... Louise has always known my love/want of life on water... She agrees that your life is what I would love to do... Just this weekend, we saw a manufacturer in Queensland called ' boat a home ' a houseboat that doubles as a motorhome/RV on trailer. She loves the idea so I class that as ' I'm winning' haha. She also agree that you guys are a mirror image of us lol, lifestyle and family etc. Oh! We had a new boat delivered at the weekend, just a 5 metre family motorboat, perfect for us to zip between the islands here. Moreton Island here in Queensland is beautiful, just 30 mins for us on the boat. Looking forward to seeing your camping adventure, envious as always, stay safe and have awesome fun 🙏
@DeepHouseboatLife2 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear Louise likes our channel! That makes us happy to hear. Be on the lookout for our next adventure today :). We saw your new boat on Instagram and that looks PERFECT for zipping around the islands. We'd love to eventually have something like that so we can do some easier exploring around our lake. Oh my gosh, a houseboat that is also a RV is kind of the dream! Need to see what this looks like...

try adding outtakes, for some comedy and real life experiences
@DeepHouseboatLife2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the suggestion, Mike! We're actually releasing a video on Thursday this week with some outtakes...and we weren't sure if we should leave them in or not. We're glad to hear folks are interested in seeing that...because we do mess up when filming ha ha. Thanks again!

Have you owned boats before buying this houseboat? It seems you know what you're doing haha.
@DeepHouseboatLife2 жыл бұрын
Haha, yes! My family (this is Trey), used to own houseboats when I was a kid. So I got to grow up doing this kind of thing. Jessie and I started saving up to buy our own houseboat one day shortly after we started dating. It's been fun getting to do all of this with her, Clare, and Dory.
