You Sir, set the barr very high for creating the most inspiring, emotive and just freaking FUN tracks and solos! I can't play nearly as often as I'd like and my skills are novice at best. But 90% of my 'practice' has been jamming with you, since discovering your channel. You freaking OWN the backing track market IMO.

Such a perfect track for practising complementary dual lead guitar fundamentals. All I do now when I pick up the guitar is play over you tracks and a couple of other producers on YT that are of equal quality, and I have to say I haven't enjoyed playing this much in a long time; I have been neglecting my guitar's for too long, but now I have a new found excitement for the guitar and I am loving it!

By far my favorite track. I've been creating such beautiful emotional music with this one. I never really cared for Aeolian mode, or most other modes for that matter. But it sure is expressive!!

Help me understand the finger board chart. Will any of the notes on it work with this progression as alternate scales other than the highlighted C# Aeolian ones? I'm learning.
@basementrockstar17943 жыл бұрын
Ignore the aeolian word for now if you are just learning, scale modes are difficult to understand and best for later on in the learning process. All of the blue notes are part of c# minor so any will be fine. The highlighted, darker blue is just showing one position of the scale. It is a good one to start with. Try making some lines with just that section before expanding out to the rest of the scale. Another option for learning would be to play c# minor pentatonic instead as it is simpler scale though you might need a second screen or device to provide you a reference point while playing.
@Homey10Paper3 жыл бұрын
The notes highlighted in a darker colour are considered a first position version of the scale, however, all the notes shown on the fretboard image are part of the C# aeolian scale (the diatonic minor scale). So, in short, yes rock away on any of those notes you see marked with their note value wherever on the fret board. This is a quick and dirty answer without exposing you to any further music theory fundamentals to confuse things. Rock on and enjoy!
