@@CatDaddySteve actually not - you would have been 18 in 1981, which is right in the middle of the hiatus between Come Taste The Band (1975) and Perfect Strangers (1984). You're still allowed to be a Purp fan though. ;)

I have it on pre-order and can't wait to hear it. All three singles from this album are excellent so I'm very hopeful this will be a classic Purple album. I discovered the band in 1974 and the first gig I ever went to was a Deep Purple one. Just listening to their new songs makes me feel young again!

Rapture was great, too bad it sounds like they recorded it in a barrel. It absolutely needs a remaster.

@kloakovalimonada Exactly! Same with Bananas. Especially the drums are awful sounding. Not impressed with these new songs either with the drums. Bring back the old ludwigs. That's my opinion and i'm sticking with it.

They ARE fab. Any fan knows that. Ritchie was a prick and were close to ruining the band. Slaves and Masters was a crappy album, boring as fuck, had Ritchie all over it.

What a shame for such a wonderful band make an album with such an awful sound quality. It's extremely compressed. Official CD release has dynamic range of 4 dB.(((( Deep Purple, I'm sure you could do it much better... but the music and material is GREAT!!!!! Thank you for another great album!!!
