This one it's quite a workout!...BTW I assume this only has 2 tombs represented hi & medium ( yellow & green)?. I'm almost sure the green circle it's crash cymbal, blue circle is ride cymbal. I use to listen the original first for better understanding of how it goes, the great thing of having these videos posted here it's being able to play some variations of the tunes IMO.

Hi mate. Indeed hey. Good fun. I agree, it works as a nice guide but I also tend to listen to the actual song as well. Also, you can never beat watching someone actually playing it on youtube but it helps. LEt me cut and paste a description from below....

yellow stripes are bass; the rectangles are the snare/toms; and the circles are hi-hat/crash/ride (blue sometimes open hi-hat)

Are those the drums patterns? The yellow stripes, represents the bass drum?. Nice backing track to play along!

Yip :) It's recorded from a video game called Rock Band. Indeed, yellow stripes are bass; the rectangles are the snare/toms; and the circles are hi-hat/crash/ride (blue sometimes open hi-hat). It's quite clever hey. Stick a monitor in front of your drum kit and off you go!

So these rock band songs are from the game released around 8 years ago I think. I've done some research and back in its day, it had quite the following. Some of the songs are insane! Have a look at this and you'll see what I mean: kzbin.info/www/bejne/anbbmWBpYtyFZpo I only bought the discs off ebay (got 10 games for £30!!) so can't upload anymore unfortunately. It's a shame because they're really good and would love to do more. Cheers.

@@TheJonesin666 I had this game. I still have the drums and guitar. And the microphone is so good I still use it today as my mic on the PC. Such a great game!

How you mute the drums only track from this?
@aquathemage16804 жыл бұрын
This is recorded from a game called rock band, and if you stop playing one of the instruments (besides vocals), that instrument track stops playing. You can also find all of the tracks for free online

I take it you aren't familiar with how the recording process works. That's ok, I'll tell ya. You've heard of "master tapes", right? Well, in the recording process-usually every instrument is miked individually. In this case: Guitar amps, bass (be it Direct into the board, or a miked amp), keyboards, vocals, and drums. In the case of Deep Purple, they had the LUXURY to record in a big enough studio where they had the ability to completely isolate every instrument from each other-Meaning all the band members were in different rooms/sonically separated from each other during the recording process. This game publisher was able to obtain the rights to the master recordings-Access to the master tapes with each track COMPLETELY isolated from the other- In answer to your question, there is NO WAY to completely separate instruments from a stereo audio track. There ARE tricks, but they don't really work. The ONLY true way to separate individual instruments is by having access to the original multitrack master tapes. the caveat is=ONLY IF the band recorded their tracks isolated from one another. There are a LOT of instances where bands played live together in one big room. In this case, there is ALWAYS going to be "bleed"= (microphones from other instruments pick up audio from nearby instruments). Hope that helps. I spent a lot of time writing this, so I fuckin' hope you read/understand it
