Yes. But Blackmore quit the band. I’d say they had a fantastic guitarist in Steve. Plus Paice, Gillian. Lord and Glover where all fantastic in their own right. Blackmore went on to his thing. Do you really believe the musicians left shoulda quit cause Blackmore left? I saw them with born. And enjoyed them with both. Steve Morse is one of the greats in my opinion!

Purple were one of the greatest bands in rock history. A band Ive seen many times but they really need to pack it up before the name becomes a laughing stock. Gillian is like the embarrassing grandad at a disco.

So liebe ich die. Schade, das ist jetzt wohl das letzte Mal. Steve geht. Das war es dann. Mac Bride ist für mich kein Ersatz. Der hat nicht die Virtuosität von Steve und auch nicht die von Richie.

As the general public likes it, the band sound exactly like the original record, the public appreciates that very much. Except Steve Morse, he added something different from his own taste. Do not like that.
@markrobertdevison12272 жыл бұрын
He might have added something here and there because of what Blackmore has said of Morse. Blackmore said Steve never makes a mistake and because he is a perfectionist, he doesn't take any chances. That's not a word for word quote but close.
@MrMaynardWR2 жыл бұрын
@@markrobertdevison1227 Steve is a great composer and his best work was with the Dixie Dregs. That's where his playing really shines. Also I saw him play with the guitar trio of John McLaughlin, Al DiMeola and Paco DeLucia and he held his own against those virtuosos which is something that Richie would never have been able to do. Don't get me wrong I love Blackmore but Morse is an extraordinary talent. You don't win best overall guitar player 5 years in a row in Guitar Player magazine without some amazing talent.
