Just got this while not doing any of this. Must have been a bug that (I'm guessing) despawned the assets before despawning the entire map, causing me to get the achievement without actually doing the work. Nice video tho. Had to check to see if I really did something or if it was really a bug.

I think you might be able to do it elsewhere. This was easiest for me with the upgrades I had. Because the boss stage has no swarms, only elites, I found it easier to waste time walking around.
