Oh this is perfect timing. I just finished the The Fisherman by John Langan (which is more of a cosmic horror novel). I'm in the mood for some deep water mysteries ❤

The ocean is one thing that I will never ever mess with. That was the case even before covering these stories, certainly the case after. I hope you enjoy!

The first story is like the three lighthouse keepers who vanished without trace in Scotland 1900.

I'm super familiar with that story and it perplexes me on occasion to this day. Obviously they were swept away into the sea, but how did it happen? Honestly, it's kind of terrifying to me that the ocean is the graveyard for thousands (if not millions) and we will likely never find even a small percentage of those lost. Thanks for watching!

The ocean is already mysterious enough, but these stories just make it feel like a whole different world of terror. I’ll be sticking to dry land!

Right there with you. Not that I was racing to go on an open ocean adventure before, but now it feels like we're land mammals for a reason. Thanks for watching!

In the story about the US Cyclops it is a very strange story I think it sailed a Portal into another strange world, never to be seen again.

Strangely enough, that's far from the wildest theory I've heard regarding that story. It's absolutely tragic whatever befell that ship and it's crew. I feel for the families that likely have gone generations now not knowing what happened to their loved ones. Thanks for watching!

Very cool. I was born and raised right across the Bay Bridge. While I live a little further down the coast now, The Bay Area will always be home.

The Cyclops wasn't supposed to stop in Barbados and you made no mention of how everyone on board hated the captain. Your version of the story on the Cyclops is too bare bones.
@MalevolentMischiefКүн бұрын
Those are interesting points. But that leads me to my question. How do either of those things affect the fact that the ship disappeared the way that it did? The crew’s disdain for the captain didn’t cause it to vanish. And whether it was meant to stop to be re-supplied or not, it did stop, and then started its voyage again without issue. So, while you bring up those additional things, I don’t see how it really changes the outcome of the story. Now, if the history buff inside of you just needed to bring it up, I can understand that too. But in conveying that story, I think we reached our destination. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about the Cyclops.

I love your narrations so freaking much. Thank you for your daily uploads. I think I remember you saying about you recording an audio book about Columbine some time back? Was that you? If so, what was the title?

I think that in the first story two of the men fell in and the third bloke couldn't rescue them and continued on,then sometime later

Thank you so much for tuning into our channel, it really means a lot. And it’s my pleasure to upload content that you enjoy. While we’ve had the distinct pleasure of narrating several audiobooks, the one you’re referring to is called No Easy Answers. It is by far the most chilling and heartbreaking project I’ve taken part in due to the fact that it is based in real life. You can find it on Audible whenever you’re ready!
