Went on this charter last Tuesday October 2016. Couldn't keep red snapper out of season. We had a hard time finding fish that would bite. But we finally found them. We had to move 8-9 times!

What type of bait were you using early? Saw that you were pulling something out of a cooler from a blue bag. Do you suggest buying additional bait or just using what they have on board?

Jmoney24 We were using cigar minnows and some other small baitfish until we ran out. The squid and cut bait that they provide works great, but mostly for the smaller snapper. I definitely think that bringing your own cigar minnows makes a difference in consistently catching the bigger fish. Having said that... I caught the biggest two snapper of the day on smaller live fish that I had caught on squid.
