So obviously Stango’s wife heard that Giovanni might be a cop early on in the case which is why he left him that voicemail telling him to stay away from him. Then once they tightened the case up, her source no longer had access to that information and Stango’s own greed took over- which is why he changed his mind about taking Giovanni under his wing.

Prosecution of the mafia isnt as headline grabbing for ambitious prosecuters, they are focusing on rappers and their connecting gangs for RICO cases, the mafia or whats left of them have been quiet since tge 2010s.
