Deep Vintage created with Audio Processing Neural Network 2.0 plugins: www.threebodytech.com/en/products/deepvintage Lots of praise (and bug reports, to be fair) happening over at gearspace.com/board/new-product-alert/1435191-deep-vintage-enhanced-apnn-2-0-three-body-technology.html I'd say this is similar to IK Multimedia's Tone-X with how it operates. Version 1.0.3 is the latest version of these plugins, released towards the end of September 2024. Some assessments via Gearspace: "I mean it's probably decent but I don't hear anything groundbreaking here that other already existing tools couldn't achieve. It's still plugin sound vs solid round and musical hardware sound. If you process all individual tracks with your hardware vs the plugin the difference becomes more night and day. The only thing that would be a game changer if you tricked us with the examples and the hardware version is actually the plugin. :D" ------ "This is a huge step forward in machine learning audio plugins! Not only they fixed the sample rate issues, and added actually working oversampling, the responses are now super flat, and have no artifacts that riddle all the other 'AI' solutions. And the CPU usage is the fraction of the old ones. (which was already pretty good compared to competing products) I already had the tape bundle cause it provided me with something not a single algo plugin can even touch, but i always felt the preamps were a little off. With this update, now i want all of them... How you can hear the transformers blooming up the low end with an added 'octave' feeling, the subtle compression with the preamps that is seldom found in any other algo plugins. And the general rounding of the transients that's NOT phasy sounding. I'm actually stunned by this release, and it's nice to see the developer cared much, they not only fixed the issues, but stepped up the game tenfold. I think this is beginning to be the thing Acustica Audio always wanted to be. I'm now fairly convinced that this technology is here to stay. I could go on how great all these sound, but blahblahblah I think the API, the Transformer, and the Pultech is a must have, but it's hard to resist the rest. Btw: the other day i was shooting them out with all the stuff i had, and the Silver Bullet plugin was the only one that could compete with the Api and Neve flavours. It had the compression effect and the blooming, but just lacked a little in the transient department. But cudos for the coders! In the tube department Mixwave and Wunderlich stood their grounds." ------- "Curiosity got the better of me, and after watching a few videos and listening to the uncompressed audio comparisons from their site I bought a handful to try. I for one am impressed, the plugins sound great and the oversampling really does work (very well might I add). I really punished these plugins with absurd input levels, creating huge amounts of harmonics, and at 8x oversampling the aliasing was down at -100 db or slightly below. I used a sine sweep for this, so on normal audio they'll perform even better as there's usually less energy in the higher freqs. (I work in 48k) To my ears they sound very hardware-like, I enjoy how the plugins handle transients and don't seem to "choke" the sound. It kind of leaves the depth of the audio intact when used subtly to moderately. The only difference I noticed in the comparisons was slightly more detail in the low-mid to upper-mid transient response of the hardware. The hardware almost has a "soft-knee buttery compressy" thing going on with the transients (especially on vocals), whilst the plugins seem very slightly more "hard-knee" feeling to me. However, I'm not certain I'd notice this difference if I did a complete blind-test. Do the plugins sound "just like the hardware" - that's hard to say, because there can be so many variables. As someone else said on this thread; the plugins could feel a little different to the sampled hardware, but it feels like it's perhaps within the tolerance of comparing it to another hardware unit. In other words; it's close. I still feel like there's a bit of room for improvement, and I'm excited to see if the devs will continue to hone the potential of the deep vintage series with a version 3 later down the line. For now I'm happy to support the development and research into something that could potentially close the gap in sound between hardware and software, and I commend the devs for going the extra mile here. Do you need deep vintage if you already have tons of saturators? Perhaps not. But they perform well and appear to do what it says on the tin, and if you like having more flavours I'd recommend these. I do not regret my purchase - in any case they are great saturators that sound good, regardless of "how close they are to the hardware". Well done to the dev team for creating nice tools for us, and for pioneering the use of oversampling with AI trained audio - that's really quite an achievement! Edit: So I did end up doing a blind test of the Brit73 and have to admit that I got my ass handed to me - to my ears there was no difference between the hardware and software, at least on the vocal, which is the one I did the test with. Granted there's not really any bass in a female vocal, but I'll keep doing some blind tests and post my personal findings. I think this has the potential to be huge!" I'm personally more than happy with all of the equalizers, saturators and compressors in my tool box. But no doubt someone out there is always in the market for something new or something better. Which is why I won't stop making videos like these. Try before you buy, these videos are made for informational purposes. Similar to automobile reviews.

I've not heard of these to be honest. But it looks like a nice collection!

Ok, I tried more, they sound REAL good. I was surprised! And I never heard of this company before. I just learned they made Kirchoff EQ. This is quite impressive. I should look into acustica audio as well since they also make a lot of 'real' analog based plugins.

Acustica are my faves hehehe. This company appears to be a good alternative. The discussion is really going over on Gear space.

I must say - your content has so much potential! But despite having many subscribers, your videos are not getting the views they deserve and the CTR seems to be a bit slow. You need proper SEO for your channel subscribers and views. I can help in this matter.
