i think the outfits in your color season make you pop more, while the other outfits make you look a bit more toned down, and you look stunning both ways!!

I am a deep winter. At first I thought the colors were boring and looked too old but now I love them. That said I do slightly break the rules to add more depth. I have learned the colors do look best on me for the larger items in my wardrobe but I like to still add in some warmth at times with accessories to add more interest and contrast. For instance, surprisingly coral works on me. I have only seen one color expert agree with that but I knew it worked on instinct. So I may do a coral manicure in summer and I have a gold bracelet with coral stones. Against my dark winter colors it is a nice touch of sunshine. I also have a pair of tortoise shell earrings that are kind of deep brown and amber toned and they work with everything. All this to say if you start feeling bored with all the coolness in the base pieces don't be afraid to experiment in low risk ways. We can also easily borrow from dark autumn. And look at patterns, interior design, and artworks that use dark winter colors as the base but have pops of warmer tones for inspiration. Another tip is to wear the light neutrals that work for winter as your base and then accent with a rich dark winter color. It looks sophisticated and makes the dark winter color pop in a sophisticated way if you don't feel like having a dark dominant look. This can work for makeup too, like monochrome white outfit with a red lip and the rest of the makeup toned down.

The dark grey coat is much more complementary to your palette. The red sweater looks warm toned to me, giving some orange tones in there. I bet a more blue based deep red would be much better and absolutely stunning on you!

Wow, the moment you switch to a dark winter color, the difference is huge! All dark winter colors make you look amazing. About the trench coat: using a dark scarf and maybe a darker lip could make the beige one work in my opinion, even though the dark gray was so pretty as well. thanks for showing, what a difference it really makes

Hermana, believe me emerald green is an absolute beauty on us deep winters. Navy is so sophisticated and serious, but emerald green is a pop of color also fucsia is very beautiful. It makes the rosiness of our cheeks pop.

Truly, personal color doesn't mean that you have to stop wearing the colors that you wanted, even they're not in your palette. But at the same time, after trying to wear my personal colors, I can see how much it changed and enhance my features and the tone of my skin based on the palettes.

Hi Andrea, You looked good in both coats; however, the charcoal gray trench made your skin tone and hair look more vibrant! IMOO, we can "get away" with orange or other colors "outside the winter palette" by wearing the orange (or other colors) with white or black or another "in palette" neutral near the face. I always want to make my black-brown hair lighter, but it washes me out. Like, more contrast seems to work better than less contrast... if that makes any sense. So, I dye it more black, and it looks better. 😅 Great topic, love it. Thank you!! 💜 Gilded: dark winter too

Oh this is a nice tip for colors outside your palette! I’ll definitely be experimenting with this! 🤩 Same! Having blonde hair was so fun but realizing my features pop so much more with my natural dark color 😱
