It's funny, I placed 49th at a cross country meet back in high school, and I actually got a ribbon for it. It was the only non-participation ribbon I've gotten from a meet. I still have it (along with my pile of participation ribbons) in my room to this day.

Sam is Lawful Evil. The whole show is about Rules. Sam uses Rules to create Evil but he's definitely Lawful. Therefore, I think in an Evil undertoned way Sam is FAIR. That's what makes his character even more despisable by Brennan's character, the difficulty of arguing with a "Fair", Lawful, but CLEARLY EVIL devilry. I believe there were three different holes in the ceiling and that any of their podiums COULD have been raised to the winner's dais, but Sam through the power of Evil expected and really hoped that it would be Brennan's that would win and be needed. That feels in-character and in-atmosphere for the "sickness at the core of America", the "fucked up clown-fest" that's going on here! :D

I've seen a clip that apparently was cut for time where Sam says "Now, Brennan, we did _not_ make this episode explicitly to troll you." Brennan responds "sure you didn't" in the coldest, most sarcastic way possible, but he's smiling.

Yeah, it's in the behind-the-scenes. Apparently Brennan also almost pulled a Yes or No on this one, too, in that he evidently figured out what the conclusion was going to be well in advance. Sure did not help, though.

This is just a tiny moment in this amazing animation, but I just love the part where Brenan's podium is shaking and starts to rise... The entire scene is just so perfect and dramatic... I don't know how much work it took but every second of it was worth it. And the fact that it looks like he's shaking in anger while showing no emotion (which I could overanalyze for days) is just the cherry on top. Thank you for your hard work and very funny video ^^
