My late girlfriend loved this song and that's why on her funeral it's one of the song's being played. She passed away due to suicide on Dec 17th, 2 days after I come home from uni for the Christmas break. Since that day I never forgive myself for losing her even if she said in her final messege to me in a letter to never feel upset or blame myself yet its all I end up doing now. I miss her so much...RIP my Precious beautiful adorable goofball 🕊 . . . . . . . . Just an update to this comment I thought I'd do: I HAVE shown the love you all given since I spoke out about the situation to my late girlfriend's family and friends as I felt as though they needed to see it and like myself, they were all very moved by the love you all gave and we all appreciate it very much just as I know my late girlfriend would too so thank you. In terms of how her family and friends are doing, they are doing okay, it hasn't been easy but I have been keeping in contact making sure they are okay too. As for the one or two hateful comments we ALL have seen, I just want to say that upon her family and friends behalf as much as my own, you got NO idea what it's like to lose someone you cared for so much in your life to the point it causes you and the people that loved them, to go into a mental spiral of emotions such as depression and grief to say the least. Suicide is NO JOKE. Nor is MENTAL HEALTH problems a JOKE and millions suffer it every second of the day, my late girlfriend BEING one of them and died because of it. So to anyone who commented hateful bs, I hope Karma comes for you and let's see how YOU feel if someone YOU loved so dearly, passed away and THEN let us all see how YOU feel if someone jokes about it, especially if the person they joked about, is the person who brought your smile back after so many years, only to then be taken away like a blink of an eye by means of suicide. However, I thank the haters all the same for exposing themselves to be "cowards behind a screen" (as Madison Beer would say) and showing their true and horrible nature upon people going through a difficult time. I'm sure those closest to you would be PROUD to have someone like YOU scum in their life.

Even with professional help sometimes that isn't even enough unfortunately! Live your life and find happiness and love again when ur ready, cause your partner would have wanted that! My grandma passed away on the 8th February of 2024, she had many health issues yet continued to smile & appreciate every little thing in the world. She had a favourite bible verse which was "Be still and Know That I am God" and that, alone, has made me feel a little better because I know she's not suffering anymore. I miss her, I made her a promise that I'd learn to drive, and take her to places. I feel as if I broke that promise. Her birthday is on the 15th April, I really love her and I always will. This made me think of my grandma as well. She had all sons. And my parents were 15&16 when I was born. Needless to say I was VERY CLOSE with her. And typing that out- I had to pause and decide whether to say -I WAS very close with her or I AM very close with her. 😞 she has dementia. Was just officially diagnosed last week. But it’s late stage and we clearly already knew. And it happened so quickly. And when I say so quickly. In ‘98 her and my grandpa built their dream home on 30acres they’d owned forever. He passed away not long after. But a year ago she sold the house. It’s just too big for just her. And a year ago we had no suspicions of anything being wrong. We noticed she was getting cranky. Which was very unlike her. But she’s getting old. Almost 80. And within this year she’s went from cranky to not recognizing my brother at the store. My brother and I are her only grandkids. We had our own rooms at their house. We were on both bus routes in school, hers and our parents bc we spent so much time at my grandparents. And she didn’t recognize my brother. Walked right by him. What would you say? Am I close with her? Or was I close with her? Is she still here? Idk.

You will always be close with her, But you must remember; it's just her dementia messing with her brain, she doesn't mean to hurt you or your brother by not recognizing you both. Dementia is just something that nobody should have to go through.

I am sitting here crying my eyes out to this song. I have gone through so much this past year. My cat passed at the beginning of last year and then I got diagnosed with cancer at the end of the year. This reminds me of my 80 year old grandad and a 17 year old lad I knew in my cycling club who passed away exactly 3 weeks apart. My grandad died of parkinson 3 weeks ago last tuesday, and the lad committed suicide last Tuesday. 😭💔😥

This song reminds me of how my life before when I was in my teenage years. I hope I made my younger self proud of what I am going through right now. I wish I should’ve listen to the old ones before, for they know what’s right for me and my future instead. Now, I am slowly having regrets as I am getting older. Hearing this song, really made me realize that I am really lost and it feels like I don’t know how to pack my life up again. I am still thinking about my younger self; on how my life should've been when I tried to listen to their advice before.
