Successful investing is hard work because it means disciplining your mind to do the opposite of human nature. Buying during a panic, selling during euphoria, and holding on when you are bored and just craving a little action. Investing is 5% intellect and 95% temperament.

It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to over $750k.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $109k now to put in the market.

Given the prevailing market conditions and the potential risks associated with the current economy, I would recommend refraining from investing in stocks for now. Instead, it would be prudent to consider retaining a portion of your assets in gold. Alternatively, seeking advice from a financial advisor could provide valuable guidance in this matter.

Great Podcast! Really dug deep into the Journey. Here are my learnings from it: 1. Donnot be afraid to spend on learning. It will pay higher returns in the future. 2. Today, education is free but we pay for speed and accountability 3. Content is really the kingdom, start as early as you can 4. Outsource as early as you can 5. Earning a small amount from a large number of people actually is a pretty big number. 6. Goal and mission are not the same. 1. Goal is to give us a direction for progreesion 2. Mission is your overall purpose; the bigger picture. 7. Figure out what you want; Know its price and then get ready to pay its price 8. Not everything is worth buying 9. Everyone has $24 with them every single day…USE Wisely 10. Generate Passive incomes 11. Getting there is Hard; Staying there is easier.

@@marceloleal1599 What I think is hard about business advice is that it only makes sense if you have a business that is somewhat succesful. No one ever talks about the first step, which I think is the hardest and most crucial: what business should you start and how do you evaluate if that direction is correct? If you have a business with no employees that does 100k in revenue a year then I think you at least have a somewhat right direction, but if you don't then the things Alex is saying are interesting but they just don't resonate as well.

He was surprised but he didn’t disagree with it though. He said he was already making $4k/month from his online business (steady income) and had saved $50-60k prior (safety net), _and_ that the guy felt bad and paid him anyway. He acknowledged his privilege and his employer’s decency, and that’s honestly far more considerate than the “unfashionable” that Ali used to describe people’s very valid concerns around encouraging free labor.

I like that Ali calls out Alex's suggestion of "free labour" at 28:00 - ... Alex's demeanor changes - so does his tune. Love from India. I am also a doctor/ Educator in India trying to figure out my own path. Well it is always a pleasure to listen to you Ali. I have been following your work since a long time and it has helped me in so many different ways all along. I really enjoyed your conversation with Alex just like many others in the deep dive series. Just wished to say hi and wish you well for all the things you are trying to level up in, there is a real sense of authenticity and uniqueness in which you do things its not everyone’s cup of tea. I will be following your work in future as well can’t wait to see you interact with other awesome people and hopefully be better by trying to inculcate the the great wisdom shared in the talks. Thank you :)

Having a different source of income in these difficult times is the best thing to do. Not only does it guarantee profits, it also helps you plan and save for future expenses. It can be quite difficult to make an investment without sound knowledge or guidance, which is why it is advisable to work with an investment advisor.

As a phlebotomist it takes longer than two days, it could take half a year plus you have to pass the certification boards. All this to make close to minimum wage when starting

Putting well-earned money into the stock market can be over emphasize for first time investors, unlike a bank where interest is sure thing! Well, basically time are uncertain, the market is out of control, and banks are gradually failing. I'm working on a ballpark estimate of $5m for retirement, and I've a good 6 figure loaded up for this, could there be any opportunity a boomer like me?

Awesome podcast Ali, one tiny piece of advise (and you don't need to even consider this lmao), but I thought it ruined the flow of the conversation at times when you would cut Alex off. I understand you wanted to dissect more points (and Alex was fine with it), but it may be considered better conversational skills to allow someone to finish their part, and to then track back to something you thought of. I hope this doesn't come across rude, just my 2 cents! Loved the podcast and all the gems regardless!
